    Abstract: A fuel injection valve includes a fuel injection port, a needle for cutting the fuel flow into the fuel injection port and a needle mover for moving the needle away from the fuel injection port and allowing the fuel to flow into the fuel injection port.     Abstract: In an electromagnetic valve, after a solenoid assembly, in which a housing surrounds an outer circumference of a solenoid composed of a coil and a bobbin and a resin connector is formed on the housing by injection molding, and a valve body assembly, in which a valve body member is slidably housed to move reciprocatingly in a valve case cylindrical hollow of a valve case member, are independently sub assembled, the valve body assembly is integrated with the solenoid assembly in such a manner that the valve case member is axially inserted into a cylindrical hollow of the bobbin and, then, an axial end of the housing is fixed to an outer circumference of the valve case member by crimping. Accordingly, if a malfunction of a component part occurs during manufacturing processes, less number of component parts are rejected as failure.

    Abstract: A fuel supply system has a pump, a common rail, and injectors. Pressurized fuel is stored in the common rail. The common rail distributes the fuel to the injectors. A liquid fuel and a liquefied gas fuel such as dimethyl ether and a liquefied petroleum gas may be used as a fuel. In each injector, a valve element is actuated directly by an electromagnetic actuator. The injector has a low pressure chamber for decreasing a biasing force which acts on the valve element in a valve closing direction. The valve element can be divided for replacement. The injector has means for suppressing the bounce of the valve element. A hydraulic unit which utilizes the fuel suppresses the bounce of the valve element. The fuel supply system is connected to a refrigerating cycle. The fuel leaking from the fuel supply system is cooled and again liquefied by the refrigerating cycle.

The composite valve case has not only a cylinder function for allowing the valve body to slidably move but also a stator function for constituting a magnetic circuit.     Abstract: A fuel injection apparatus for an internal combustion engine is provided which is designed to control a fuel discharge from a fuel injection pump by regulating the quantity of fuel sucked into the fuel injection pump. The fuel injection pump is driven in synchronism with rotation of the engine to pressurize and supply the fuel to an accumulator chamber from which the fuel is injected into cylinders of the engine. The solenoid valve moves a valve member linearly to open and close a fluid path leading to the fuel injection pump. The controller actuates the solenoid valve in one of a first control mode when the engine speed is low and a second control mode when the engine speed is high. In the first control mode, a valve on-duration in which the solenoid valve is turned on to open the fluid path through the valve member and an area of the fluid path opened by the valve member are both controlled. In the second control mode, only the opened area of the fluid path is controlled.

    Abstract: A high-pressure pump for use in a fuel injection system for diesel engines is provided which includes a plunger slidably disposed within a chamber formed in a pump housing to define a pressure chamber whose volume is changed according to sliding movement of the plunger, a check valve disposed within a fluid inlet line extending from an inlet port to the pressure chamber, and a solenoid valve disposed within the fluid inlet line upstream of the check valve. The check valve establishes fluid communication between the inlet port and the pressure chamber during a fluid suction operation wherein the fluid is sucked into the pressure chamber, while blocking the fluid communication between the inlet port and the pressure chamber during a fluid feeding operation wherein the fluid sucked into the pressure chamber is pressurized and discharged from an outlet port. The solenoid valve controls a flow rate of the fluid sucked into the pressure chamber through the check valve.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic device includes a solenoid stator comprised of a plurality of magnetic plates stacked spirally and regulated to prevent displacement. The stator is constructed by spirally disposing around its central axis a plurality of magnetic plates each having a uniform thickness and being bent in a curved shape. A support body of the device is so assembled to the stator as to abut its bottom face and a through hole. The support body has a disk part having an outer diameter generally corresponding to that of the stator and a cylindrical part extending upwardly from the central part of the disk part. The top end part of the cylindrical part is fixedly joined to the stator by laser welding. A push rod coupled with an armature is disposed slidably in a hole of the support body. The bottom face of a cap housing abuts the peripheral part of the top face of the stator to press the peripheral part from the upperside.

The oil-pressure control valve includes a valve cylinder having a valve seat. The valve seat has a first truncated-conical surface. The oil-pressure control valve further includes a valve needle slidably received in the valve cylinder and movable by a control unit. The valve needle has a second truncated-conical surface for engaging with the first truncated-conical surface to close the oil-pressure control valve and disengaging from the first truncated-conical surface to open the oil-pressure control valve. The first and second truncated-conical surfaces, when engaged, form a circular seal line on which the first and second truncated-conical surfaces abut each other. The circular seal line has a diameter which is substantially the same as a diameter of the valve needle.

    Abstract: An injection timing control device for a fuel injection pump includes a timer cylinder and a timer piston slidably received in the timer cylinder to define a high-pressure chamber and a low-pressure chamber at opposite axial ends thereof. The high-pressure chamber communicates with a high pressure side, while the low-pressure chamber communicates with a low pressure side and is provided therein with a spring for biasing the timer piston toward the high-pressure chamber. A servo valve having a spool is further provided. Communication between the high-pressure and low-pressure chambers is allowed or prohibited depending on movement of the spool of the servo valve. When the communication is allowed, a fuel pressure in the high-pressure chamber is released into the low-pressure chamber so that the timer piston moves toward the high-pressure chamber due to a biasing force of the spring. This movement of the timer piston is transmitted to a roller ring to retard a fuel injection timing.
