Abstract: The invention concerns a golf club of metal which can withstand an impact produced when hitting a ball, and reduces the transmission of vibration to a shaft when hitting the ball, thereby giving a soft ball-hitting feel. In the metal golf club, a pair of shaft support portions are provided respectively at a top portion side and a sole portion side of a head body, i.e. a hollow shell cast of metal. A shaft inserted into the head body is supported at two points by the two shaft support portions. A cushioning member of a synthetic resin is interposed between each of the shaft support portions and the shaft.

Abstract: In A golf club head, a central portion of a sole surface existing substantially centrally between the toe and heel sides is left as it is, two recesses are formed on the toe and heel sides, and the wall surfaces of the recesses are formed so as to be inclined gently from the sole surface central portion. The golf club head can cut into the ground properly when hitting a ball and also allows a golfer to hook or slice the ball freely.

Abstract: A head for a gold club, comprises: a metal body including a hosel and a sole which are formed integrally with each other; a filling member provided on the sole; and a fiber-reinforced resin coating the metal body and the filling member except the sole, wherein the metal body is integrally formed with a support portion extending from the ankle part of the metal body toward the toe part thereof and supporting the filling member at a rear thereof.
