  • Patent number: 8583842
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a data transfer device to which a master device that issues transfer requests and slave devices each having a function of responding to the transfer request may be connected. The device may include a transfer request counter that counts up or down each time a response signal is inputted thereto from any slave device, and counts down or up each time a data transfer completion signal is inputted thereto; a transfer destination selector that, based on a count value of the counter and information concerning a transfer-target slave device, determines and selects one of the slave devices as a destination of the transfer request, and connects the master device with the selected slave device; and a data transfer monitoring section that monitors completion of data transfer corresponding to the transfer request and, upon recognizing the completion, outputs the data transfer completion signal to the counter.

  • Patent number: 6766426
Abstract: An information processing apparatus and method and a program storage medium by which a recording medium of an apparatus connected to a network to which the information processing apparatus is connected can be utilized effectively wherein if reservation of recording of a predetermined program is performed for a video recorder, then a data amount necessary to record the reserved program is calculated. Then, those of apparatus connected to a network which include a recording medium which can record the calculated data amount are searched for. In response to a result of the search, a distribution of data amounts to be recorded into the recording media of those apparatus is determined. Then, areas are secured in the recordable areas of the recording media so that the determined data amount may be recorded.

  • Patent number: 5476624
Abstract: A process for reclaiming waste plastics having a paint film which includes subjecting the paint film to a hydrolysis treatment by immersing the waste plastics having a urethane paint film or an amino resin paint film in a treating liquid, or contacting the waste plastics with the vapor of a treating liquid, to decompose the paint into lower molecular weight compounds. The resulting waste plastics are then heated and kneaded to disperse the products of the hydrolysis in the waste plastics, and there is recovered a reclaimed waste plastics product having good mechanical properties.

  • Patent number: 5001172
Abstract: A fiber reinforced plastics comprises a resin and chopped strands dispersed in the resin, wherein the chopped strands comprise glass fiber chopped strands composed of cut assemblies of glass filaments and high elastic chopped strands composed of cut assemblies of high modulus inorgtanic filaments having higher elastic modulus than the filaments and having 3000 or less number of assembled filaments. By this arrangement, the both chopped strands are closely and uniformly dispersed in the resin and the force interaction between the both chopped stands are enhanced. The resultant plastics has remarkably improved strength and fatigue durability, and higher rigidity than conventional ones.
