Patent number: 10789989Abstract: A video recording apparatus includes a recording device having a location information area and a video data area. The location information area stores location information of video data stored in the video data area. The video data area stores the video data in units of blocks with a size of 1 MB or greater. The tail end of the block is used as a table of contents region for storing table of contents information of a plurality of the most-recent blocks. By providing the table of contents regions at a predetermined frequency, the tables of contents of all blocks being used in the video data area are retained in a distributed and redundant manner. Whenever the power supply is re-activated, the tables of contents regions are read, and pieces of the table of contents information are joined appropriately to construct a complete table of contents in memory.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2015Date of Patent: September 29, 2020Assignee: HITACHI KOKUSAI ELECTRIC INC.Inventors: Tomomi Takada, Shigeyuki Murata, Satoshi Kasai

Patent number: 10277805Abstract: In a monitoring system, each individual camera device divides image data acquired by an image sensor unit into a plurality of areas, and detects video-image abnormality from an average luminance signal value in each area or from a change thereof. The camera device that has detected video abnormality transmits video-image abnormality detection information to a server. In the plurality of areas, it is possible to use different detection algorithms such as a first algorithm in which it is determined that an abnormality has occurred when there is no change in the average luminance value, a second algorithm in which it is determined that an abnormality has occurred when there is a change in the average luminance value, and a third algorithm for observing a change in the video captured while a change is made to an aperture, exposure time, or the like.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2015Date of Patent: April 30, 2019Assignee: HITACHI KOKUSAI ELECTRIC INC.Inventors: Hirofumi Emi, Tomohiro Aikawa, Masaru Fujii, Naoki Saotome, Kei Takahashi, Shigeyuki Murata, Atsushi Honda

Patent number: 8015586Abstract: An image reproduction function for reproducing effectively reproducing image recorded in a storage device in diversified forms is provided. A moving picture obtained from one image pickup device is recorded in a plurality of systems at different frame rates. The recorded moving picture is formed of a plurality of still picture data. When reproducing the recorded moving picture, the still picture data forming a moving picture of either one of the systems are reproduced according to a time axis serving as reference for reproduction of the recorded moving picture.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2005Date of Patent: September 6, 2011Assignee: Hitachi Kokusai Electric Inc.Inventors: Seiichi Hirai, Shinya Ogura, Takashi Mito, Shigeyuki Murata

Publication number: 20080225119Abstract: A video display function that enables the user to view video. When a plurality of video signals are displayed on a screen, processes are performed to set at least one pattern of information about the arrangement of video signals on the screen, display a list of arrangement information, select at least one pattern of arrangement information from the displayed arrangement information list, and reproduce video signals on the screen according to the selected arrangement information. A video distribution system distributes video signals through a network to client terminals. The video distribution system manages user accounts, holds user information of each user account, acquires the previous access time of the user account associated with the client terminal currently keeping login to the system according to user information held by the system, and transmits to the client terminal information of whether any alarm-recorded video exists after the previous access time.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 21, 2005Publication date: September 18, 2008Inventor: Shigeyuki Murata

Patent number: 7260306Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program for editing recorded information having a format where both a video signal and an audio signal are recorded on a recording medium. When the recorded information is reproduced, a detection is conducted to determine a position where a predetermined condition is produced in the audio signal. Discriminating information indicative of an editing position is produced based on the position where the predetermined condition is detected and displayed on a screen of a display apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2001Date of Patent: August 21, 2007Assignee: Hitachi Kokusai Electric, Inc.Inventors: Shigeyuki Murata, Makoto Kutsuwada
