Patent number: 10382879Abstract: Producing a virtual sound field may include receiving an audio signal associated with a remote sound source within a remote environment. The audio signal may be defined or recorded as a binaural recording and recorded from a remote set of binaural microphones. The audio signal may be indicative of a position of the remote sound source relative to the remote set of binaural microphones within the remote environment. Producing the virtual sound field may include determining a virtual position relative to the position of the remote sound source within the remote environment, generating a virtual sound field audio signal which simulates audio representing the remote sound source perceived from the virtual position within the remote environment relative to the position of the remote sound source within the remote environment, and playing back the virtual sound field to simulate the remote sound source as perceived from the virtual position.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2018Date of Patent: August 13, 2019Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Shinichi Akama, Shigeyuki Seko

Patent number: 10005386Abstract: The systems and methods disclosed herein are directed to an intermittent flashing taillight on a motorcycle that may be activated when a foot lever is actuated and a hand lever is actuated between on and off. The flashing sequences, which may be controlled by the driver, through directly actuating the hand lever between on and off, may be more easily discernable than a solid illuminated taillight found in current motorcycles. In an illustrative embodiment, the motorcycle may include a hand lever that is associated with a front brake and a foot lever that is associated with a rear brake. At least one taillight may be provided in the motorcycle. A controller on the motorcycle may intermittently flash the at least one taillight according to actuations of the hand lever between on and off and when the second lever is continuously actuated.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2017Date of Patent: June 26, 2018Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventor: Shigeyuki Seko
