  • Patent number: 10946597
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a measurement method for a molding system comprising an upper mold and a lower mold forming a mold cavity. The method includes applying a pressure difference to a molding resin for driving the molding resin to flow into a preform in the mold cavity; detecting a flow front of the molding resin at a first position and a second position in the mold cavity; and calculating a flowing property of the molding resin based on the first position, the second position, a travelling time of the flow front from the first position to the second position, and the pressure difference.

  • Publication number: 20180319107
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system for measuring a permeability/porosity ratio of a fiber preform in a molding system. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the system includes a mold, a detection device, a resin-supplying source, and a computing device. The mold includes an upper mold and a lower mold forming a mold cavity. The resin-supplying source is configured to input a molding resin into a preform in the mold cavity. The detection device is configured to detect a flow front of the molding resin at a first position and a second position in the mold cavity. The computing device is configured to calculate a flowing property of the molding resin into the preform based on the first position, the second position, a travelling time of the flow front from the first position to the second position, and a pressure difference driving the flow front to travel from the first position to the second position.

  • Patent number: 8768662
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and non-transitory computer medium for calculating a shrinkage of a molding product comprises a step of using a computer processor to calculate a molding pressure of a molding fluid in a molding cavity by taking into consideration an increase of a shear viscosity of the molding fluid by a decrease of a shear rate, and a step of calculating the shrinkage of the molding products by taking into consideration a variation of a specific volume of the molding fluid as the molding pressure and a molding temperature decrease.

  • Patent number: 6855197
Abstract: A method of restoring a tooth cavity is conducted by a direct or indirect method with a visible light curable nanocomposite of a dental restorative material with a low polymerization shrinkage, wherein the dental restorative material comprises an epoxy resin, inorganic oxide nano particles, a photoinitiator and a photosensitizer. The direct method involves the filling of the tooth cavity with the nanocomposite dental restorative material, stacking the nanocomposite dental restorative material in the tooth cavity, and curing with visible light followed by shaping and polishing. The indirect method involves making a mold of the tooth, casting the mold with the nanocomposite dental restorative material, curing with visible light followed by shaping and polishing, then removing the shaped and polished material and adhering it to the tooth cavity.

  • Publication number: 20040162364
Abstract: The present invention relates to a light curable epoxy nano composite for dental restorative material with a low polymerization shrinkage used for restorative and esthetic dentistry, comprising a mixture of light curable epoxy resin, instead of the conventional acrylic material, with inorganic oxide nano particles. The light curable epoxy resin consists of epoxy resin monomers, photoinitiator and photosensitizer. The surface of inorganic oxide nano particles can be further modified organically to improve the dispersion and stability of inorganic oxide particles in epoxy matrix or to increase the bonding force between particles and matrix. The present material uses epoxy resin as primary material and has therefore a polymerization shrinkage 50% lower than that of conventional acrylic materials. It thus represents a low shrinkage dental restorative material.
