    Abstract: A support for an electronic device is able to prevent a chassis from wobbling without coming off from the chassis. The support is attached to an opening of the chassis of the electronic device. The support includes a base portion positioned on an exterior surface side of the chassis so as to overlap the opening, a retaining portion that is positioned on an inner surface side of the chassis and provided so that the opening is able to retain the retaining portion with or without interposing a separate member, a connecting portion that connects the base portion and the retaining portion with each other and is inserted through the opening, and an elastic protruding portion provided on the base portion and structures a contact point with the exterior surface of the chassis. The base portion is structured so as to support the chassis through the elastic protruding portion.

    Abstract: The sublimation speed of dopant can be precisely controlled without being influenced by a change over time of intra-furnace thermal environment. A dopant supply unit equipped with an accommodation chamber and a supply tube is provided. A sublimable dopant is accommodated. Upon sublimation of the dopant within the accommodation chamber, the sublimed dopant is introduced into a melt. The dopant within the accommodation chamber of the dopant supply unit is heated. The amount of heating by means of heating means is controlled so as to sublime the dopant at a desired sublimation speed. The dopant is supplied to the melt so that the dopant concentration until the first half of a straight body portion of the silicon single crystal is in the state of low concentration or non-addition.

The connector can be connected to a connection terminal provided in a side surface of thy portable information device. The advancing and retracting mechanism is operated by the driving force of a motor to advance and retract the connector to connect and separate the connector to/from the connection terminal. The controller operates the advancing and retracting mechanism when it is detected that the portable information device is coupled with the docking station to advance the connector to connect the connector to the connection terminal.
