  • Publication number: 20140249766
Abstract: In estimating a structural formula of an unknown substance produced through partial structural change of an original substance having a known structure caused by metabolism or the like, structural change is considered in two stages, the elimination of a partial structure and the addition of another partial structure. First, an additional partial structure is collected as known information in addition to an MSn spectrum of the unknown substance and a structural formula of the original substance. A structural formula at the time when a partial structure is eliminated from the original substance is estimated, and a structural formula of each of product ions is estimated. The structural formula of the unknown substance is determined by estimating a structure that can produce the candidates for structural formulas of the product ions by dissociation.

  • Publication number: 20140205857
Abstract: The present invention relates to aluminum plated steel sheet which does not require coating after plating and is high in production flexibility enabling application of conventional production processes as they are or exhibits excellent corrosion resistance to flex fuels and further is excellent in appearance and to fuel tanks characterized by being produced using the steel sheet. The means for solving this is characterized by defining the Si, Mg, Ca, and Ti ingredients in the aluminum plating layer and controlling the cooling method after hot dip aluminum coating so as to make Mg2Si particles with a long axis of 10 ?m or less and an aspect ratio of 1 to 3 finely disperse in the plating layer. Due to the Mg2Si particles, it is possible to give an excellent corrosion resistance to flex fuels and suppress the deterioration in appearance due to MgO.

  • Publication number: 20140163902
Abstract: A method and apparatus for estimating the structure of an unidentified substance produced from an original substance having a known structural formula through partial structural change caused by metabolism or the like. A mass difference between a product ion, originating from the unidentified substance and having a partial structure including a structural change site, and a product ion, originating from the original substance and having a partial structure prior to the structural change, is equal to the mass difference between the original substance and the unidentified substance. Therefore, when pairs of product ions each having such a mass difference are selected to be compared with partial structures obtained from the known structural formula of the original substance, a minimum common partial structure having the structural change site is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20140156203
Abstract: Data of a plurality of samples collected by an LC/MS, GC/MS or other systems are converted into a two-dimensional table format. After LC/MS measurement data on a plurality of samples are obtained and the respective extracted ion chromatograms (XICs) are created, a time-axis adjustment for correcting a discrepancy in the retention time is performed, followed by a process of correcting the missing of data which has occurred in the head and/or tail section of the data as a result of the time-axis adjustment.

  • Patent number: 8735806
Abstract: Based on the mass spectrum obtained by mass-analyzing a sample, the composition of the unknown substance is deduced, and after that, an MS/MS analysis is performed in which the unknown substance is set to be a precursor ion. Then, based on the peaks appearing on the MS/MS spectrum, the actually measured mass of each product ion is obtained (S1 through S4). On the other hand, the compositions of the product ion generated by the dissociation of the unknown substance are obtained by the combination, i.e. the condition, of the kind of the constituent element and the number of each element of the unknown substance's deduced component. Then, it is checked whether or not the theoretical mass in consistency with the actually measured mass of the product ion exists (S5). In the case where one which is consistent with a theoretical mass is not existent, it is possible to determine that the original deduction of the known substance's composition has been incorrect.

  • Publication number: 20140001908
Abstract: A permanent-magnet type rotating electrical machine, including a rotor including a plurality of magnetic poles arranged at an equal interval, and a stator including a plurality of teeth and a plurality of armature windings. A high frequency voltage different in frequency and amplitude from voltages for generating a torque is applied to the armature windings. A magnetic pole position of the rotor is estimated by using a current trajectory of a measured high frequency current. When dq transform is applied to the measured high frequency current, a current trajectory forms an ellipse on d and q axes. Angular variation ranges of a major axis of the ellipse with respect to a load current and a rotor position are set so as to acquire a predetermined position estimation resolution.

  • Publication number: 20130306857
Abstract: A molecular weight is determined from an actually measured mass spectrum of a target substance, and a database search is performed to extract candidates of a chemical structural formula corresponding to the molecular weight (S2, S3). By using an algorithm for predicting a dissociation pattern, product ions to be produced by a dissociating operation are predicted for each candidate of the chemical structural formula (S4). The predicted pattern of the product ions is compared with an actually measured MS2 spectrum, and a degree of similarity representing the degree of matching of the pattern is calculated (S5). When there are a plurality of candidates of the chemical structural formula, the candidates are displayed in order of their degrees of similarity (S6).

  • Publication number: 20130304394
Abstract: A product ion spectrum is created on the basis of MS2 analysis data respectively obtained for a parent compound and a metabolite. Additionally, a neutral loss spectrum, in which the mass of each product ion is replaced with a mass difference between the mass of the product ion and that of a precursor ion, is created. Then, a common peak having the same mass on the neutral loss spectrums of both the parent compound and the metabolite is extracted, and a complementary peak appearing on the product ion spectrum of the metabolite is extracted; this peak appears at a position corresponding to the difference between the mass of the common peak and that of the precursor ion. The ion corresponding to the complementary peak is designated as a precursor ion for the next MS3 analysis, and this MS3 analysis is performed.

  • Publication number: 20130095345
Abstract: In conventional Al coated steel sheet, with the Al coating as it is, black discoloration cannot be prevented at 550° C. or more. For this reason, post annealing is used to form a barrier layer and suppress the formation of Fe—Al intermetallic compounds. However, with this method, there were the problems that the steel sheet became poor in workability and, further, high temperature, long time heating was required, so there were problems from the workability, economy, and environmental aspect. The present invention provides steel sheet which has a heat black discoloration resistance even at a 550° C. or more high temperature without additional annealing after Al coating and further is excellent in workability. That is, it is hot dip Al coated steel sheet which comprises steel sheet which contains predetermined ingredients of C, Si, P, S, Al, N, and O plus one or both of furthermore Ni: 0.01 to 0.1% or Cu: 0.01 to 0.1% and satisfies 10×C+Ni+Cu>0.

  • Publication number: 20130096847
Abstract: Data for a plurality of samples collected by an LC/MS, GC/MS or other systems are converted into a two-dimensional table format without losing information and with a light load, thereby allowing a multivariate analysis processing to be efficiently performed. After LC/MS data on a plurality of samples are obtained and the respective extracted ion chromatograms (XICs) are created (S1 and S2), the correction of the retention-time difference, the waveform processing and the like are performed (S3 and S4), followed by the creation of a one-dimensional table in which the signal-strength values are arranged for each XIC. Then, one-dimensional tables of a plurality of XICs for one sample are joined together in order of m/z value to create an elongate one-dimensional table (S5). The elongate one-dimensional tables of a plurality of samples are arranged in another dimensional direction to obtain a two-dimensional table (S6).

  • Patent number: 8354635
Abstract: Ions originating from sample components are made to fly along a loop orbit (P) multiple times, and are deviated from the loop orbit (P) when a predetermined period of time has elapsed after the ejection of the ions. A time-of-flight spectrum recording unit (81) creates a time-of-flight spectrum based on the detected signal. If an overtaking of ions occurs on the loop orbit (P), the number of turns of peaks (ions) appearing on the spectrum cannot be determined. Given this factor, an isotopic peak detector (82) finds an isotopic peak group based on the time intervals and intensity ratio of a plurality of peaks appearing on the spectrum. A flight distance computation unit 83 uses the fact that the mass difference between adjacent peaks belonging to an isotopic peak group is 1 Da when ions are singly-charged, and computes the flight distance based on a predetermined formula.
