  • Patent number: 11617943
Abstract: Input data containing at least strain data corresponding to deformation of an input apparatus or motion data corresponding to a motion or orientation of the input apparatus, is obtained from the input apparatus. Based on the motion data, a first object is caused to move in a virtual space or an orientation of the first object in the virtual space is changed. Based on the strain data, the first object is caused to perform a predetermined action in the virtual space.

  • Patent number: 11130052
Abstract: An example of an information processing system sequentially executes a plurality of exercise events, and a user executes exercises corresponding to the exercise events, thereby causing a game to progress. The user sets in advance an exercise that the user wishes to avoid. When an exercise corresponding to an exercise event is the exercise set in advance by the user, a button operation is performed instead of the exercise, thereby causing the game to progress.

  • Patent number: 10994208
Abstract: An example of an information processing system includes a training apparatus and an information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus executes a game. The training apparatus includes a sensor and a processor. The sensor detects a load applied on the training apparatus. The processor transmits information relating to the load detected by the sensor as first information to the information processing apparatus while the game is executed. The processor stores information relating to the load detected by the sensor as second information in a storage device integral with or separate from the training apparatus while the game is not executed. The information processing apparatus progresses the game based on the first information received from the training apparatus, and gives a reward that has an influence on the progress of the game to a user of the game based on the second information obtained from the storage device.

  • Publication number: 20150065244
Abstract: A game apparatus obtains a captured image from a camera, and repeatedly executes a recognition process on the obtained captured image for recognizing a predetermined object included in the captured image. The game apparatus repeatedly generates and displays a synthesized image obtained by synthesizing an image of a virtual object generated by using a process result of the recognition process with a captured image which is a subject of the recognition process. Here, if the recognition process fails, a captured image which is a subject of a recognition process which has succeeded before is synthesized with an image of a virtual object generated by using a process result of the recognition process.

  • Patent number: 8884987
Abstract: Captured image acquisition means acquires a captured image captured by a real camera. Color detection means, in the captured image acquired by the captured image acquisition means, detects at least one pixel having specific range color information in color information including at least one selected from the group including RGB values, a hue, a saturation, and a brightness. Image generation means, on the basis of the specific range color information of the at least one pixel detected by the color detection means, generates an image of an object to be placed in a virtual world. Image display control means displays the image generated by the image generation means on a display device.

  • Patent number: 8684837
Abstract: A moving object and a topography object having a portion with different heights are positioned in a virtual space, and the moving object is controlled so as to move on the topography object. A real world image is obtained from an imaging device, and a position and an orientation of a marker in the real world image are detected. On the basis of a result of the detection, a virtual camera is positioned in the virtual space, and a moving object and a topography object are rendered on the basis of the virtual camera. Here, the real world image obtained from the imaging device is used as a texture for the topography object. The rendered moving object and the topography object are synthesized on the real world image and a synthesized image is displayed on a display device.

  • Patent number: 8246460
Abstract: Provided is a game system executing a game by performing communication between a plurality of hand-held game apparatuses, each having a display section for displaying an image and an operation section, and a stationary game apparatus. In each of the plurality of hand-held game apparatuses, a plurality of directional signs indicative of operations performed by a player using the operation section is displayed on the display section. Operation data indicative of a content of the operation performed by using the operation section is transmitted to the stationary game apparatus. The stationary game apparatus receives the operation data transmitted from each of the plurality of hand-held game apparatuses. The stationary game apparatus obtains, from sound data storage means storing therein a plurality of pieces of sound data, sound data corresponding to the operation data, and at the same time, outputs a sound based on each piece of the obtained sound data.
