  • Publication number: 20060263607
Abstract: A photochromic laminate comprising a base material of a thermoplastic resin having light-transmitting property, a crosslinked resin layer formed on the surfaces of the base material and containing inorganic colloidal particles in an amount of 20 to 40% by mass, and a photochromic coating formed on the surfaces of the crosslinked resin layer. Though the laminate has the layer exhibiting photochromic property formed thereon by the coating method, the surfaces of the base material of a thermoplastic resin are suppressed from being whitened or swollen. Therefore, the base material exhibits excellent optical properties, a high adhesiveness to the photochromic coating, and superior durability.

  • Patent number: 7048876
Abstract: A chromene compound typically represented by the following formula, When placed in a state of developing color, the chromene compound exhibits absorption bands in two wavelength regions of 440 to 500 nm and 570 to 630 nm. A difference in the absorption intensity between the two absorption bands is small, and an intensity ratio in the color density in the two absorption bands is usually in a range of from 0.7 to 1.2. A color tone of a neutral tint such as grey or brown is obtained by using a single compound.

  • Patent number: 7024164
Abstract: A communication apparatus having a transmission section and a reception section that are selectively attached or detached from one another. The transmission section is operable to modulate an information signal to generate a high frequency signal and to wirelessly transmit the high frequency signal to the reception section, or to output the information signal to the reception section via a non-wireless coupling. The reception section is operable to receive the high frequency signal transmitted from the transmission section and to demodulate the high frequency signal to recover the information signal, or to receive the information signal outputted from the transmission section. Further, an attached condition is sensed, indicating whether the transmission section and the reception section are connected/attached to each other or disconnected/detached from each other, and switching between wireless transmission and non-wireless transmission is performed in accordance with the indicated condition.

  • Publication number: 20050227702
Abstract: In a wireless communication system dealing with a plurality of frequency bands such as 5.2 GHz band and 2.4 GHz band, without a disturbance from another wireless communication system or the like and abnormalities such as stop of a moving picture and disturbance of a picture, a large volume of data can be securely and smoothly transmitted on real time basis. In a frequency band (5.2 GHz band) communicable at higher transmission rates, unused radio channels free of a disturbing wave are detected in steps 101 to 103. In process routine 200, it is detected whether or not received field strengths exceed a threshold value in decreasing order from higher transmission rates on the detected radio channels. A communication is started at a transmission rate of which the received field strength reaches or exceeds the threshold value.
