    Abstract: A light-emitting device includes: a base body including: a sidewall part including a first upper surface, and a second upper surface, a periphery of the second upper surface being surrounded by the sidewall part; a light-emitting element located at the second upper surface; a bonding member located at the first upper surface; and a light-transmitting member including a lower surface, the lower surface including: a first region located above the first upper surface, and a second region located above the second upper surface. The light-transmitting member is bonded with a portion of the first upper surface by the bonding member. The light-emitting device includes a gap defined by the lower surface of the light-transmitting member, the first upper surface of the sidewall part, and the bonding member. The bonding member is bonded to the first and second regions of the lower surface of the light-transmitting member.
