  • Patent number: 7411617
Abstract: In image-data recording processing performed when a video output conforms to the PAL system, a display-signal processing section receives image data having a frame rate of 30 Hz recorded in a memory, through a bus, converts the image data to image data having an NTSC frame rate of 29.97 Hz by a frame-rate conversion method in which thinning out is performed according to the ratio of frame rates, and outputs it to a display section and a codec-IC interface. The display-signal processing section also converts to image data having a PAL frame rate of 25 Hz, and outputs it to a video-output interface. In other words, image data is processed at a frame rate not related to the output, and then converted to image data having a frame rate suited for the output, and output. This invention can be used in digital cameras.

  • Publication number: 20060256236
Abstract: A method for converting frames that can display smooth moving images is provided. A memory (16) to which image data of frames in the NTSC format is written is provided. A memory controller (14) for retrieving image data of an odd field and an even field from the memory (16) every odd field period and even field period in the frame period of the PAL format is provided. An interpolating circuit (76) is provided. The interpolating circuit (76) mixes the image data of the odd field retrieved by the memory controller (14) and image data of a next odd field at a predetermined ratio to output as image data of an odd field in the frame period of the PAL format, and mixes the retrieved image data of the even field and image data of a next even field at a predetermined ratio to output as image data of an even field in the frame period of the PAL format. A coefficient-generating circuit (73) for changing the mixing ratios in the interpolating circuit (76) every field period of the PAL format is provided.

  • Patent number: 7073709
Abstract: An information processing method provided, wherein an identifier (ID) corresponding to an object is obtained based on information input from a sensor for detecting the object, and the obtained ID is continuously and repeatedly input to an information processing unit. The information processing unit compares a program that is set based on a newly-input ID with a program that is set based on an already-input ID, and ends the currently-executed program when the two programs are different from each other. In this method, by putting an object in a sensor effective area, a program corresponding to the ID of the object is started, and by removing the object from the sensor effective area, the program is ended.

  • Publication number: 20040130579
Abstract: An information processing apparatus is provided which allows a user to easily and intuitively manipulate information in a 3-dimensional virtual space. In the information processing apparatus, a main controller sets a first coordinate system in a real space on the basis of information associated with a real object and further sets a second coordinate system in a 3-dimensional virtual space corresponding to the real space on the basis of the first coordinate system. If a user places an input device at a particular position and angle in the first coordinate system with reference to the real object, the main controller places an object in the 3-dimensional virtual space at a place and angle in the second coordinate system corresponding to the place and angle of the input device in the first coordinate system, and the main controller displays an image of the object placed in the 3-dimensional virtual space on a display.

  • Patent number: 6753932
Abstract: An image processing apparatus is disclosed by which correction of convergence and correction of distortion of an image can be performed with a high degree of accuracy. Correction data to be used for correction of position errors of the three colors of red, green and blue obtained by an adjustment apparatus in advance are stored in a storage section. The stored correction data are outputted to a correction waveform outputting section through a control circuit when necessary. The correction waveform outputting section produces correction waveforms based on the correction data inputted thereto and outputs the correction waveforms to a clock signal generation circuit. The clock signal generation circuit generates clocks, and the video data of red, green and blue stored in the memory are read out in response to the clock signals.
