    Abstract: A switch unit is connected between a first node electrically connected to a power source and a second node electrically connected to a load circuit which receives power supplied from the power source. As a current suppression element is connected to the switch unit in parallel. A fault sensing unit senses abnormality in an electrically conducting circuit formed by electrically interconnecting the first node and the second node. When a closing operation of a switchgear is performed, a switching command unit conducts an abnormality diagnosis in a first state in which the switch unit is controlled so that an impedance between the first node and the second node has a first value, and when no abnormal state is sensed in the abnormality diagnosis, the switching command unit controls the switch unit to establish a second state in which the impedance is equal to or smaller than the first value.

    Abstract: Ridging caused when handling steel containing a large amount of alloying elements such as Si and Al in a low-speed hot rolling process is suppressed. A method of producing a hot-rolled steel sheet for a non-oriented electrical steel sheet comprises: producing a steel slab having a certain chemical composition and a thickness of 50 mm to 200 mm by continuous casting; conveying the steel slab to a hot rolling line while maintaining a surface temperature of the steel slab at 800° C. or more; and performing hot rolling in which the steel slab is sequentially subjected to rough rolling, reheating treatment, and finish rolling in the hot rolling line to obtain a hot-rolled steel sheet, wherein the hot rolling is performed under specific conditions.

    Abstract: The carcinostatic agent of the present invention is an extract from seeds of Aeginetia indica and has interleukin-2 and interferon-.gamma. inducing potency. As shown in FIG. 1, all of the mice, to which this extract was not given, (.DELTA.) died from tumor (6 mice). In contrast, in the mice, to which the extract was given by 0.6 mg/kg (.quadrature.), 1.2 mg/kg (+), and 2.5 mg/kg ( ) intraperitoneally once in every two days from the day of tumor grafting, all mice showed increase in the survival rate. Thus, the extract exhibits excellent carcinostatic effect.
