    Abstract: Provided is a sensor apparatus including: a normal operation unit including a first sensor and a storage device; an external environment detection unit including a second sensor; a power supply switch unit configured to control supply of electric power to the normal operation unit; and a power supply configured to supply the electric power to the normal operation unit via the power supply switch unit. In the sensor apparatus, in an operational mode, the normal operation unit records data measured by the first sensor into the storage device, and, in a non-operational mode, when a measured value obtained by the second sensor satisfies a predetermined condition, the external environment detection unit controls the power supply switch unit so that the power supply switch unit supplies the electric power to the normal operation unit, and the normal operation unit records the data measured by the first sensor into the storage device.

Soft handoff termination is judged and soft handoff is forcibly terminated according to whether or not the data rate obtained for all resources on the network side satisfies a requested rate, based on a reception state notification from a terminal concerning wireless resources.

    Abstract: Since the OFDM communication method does not select whether plural sectors use a same terminal as a transmission destination, or always use it as a transmission destination, giving a preference to system throughput deteriorates channel quality of a terminal in a sector boundary, while increasing channel quality in sector boundaries greatly deteriorates system throughput. In a base station, when a sector transmits to a terminal in the front of a beam, only the sector performs the transmission, and when transmission is made to a terminal in a sector boundary off the direction of the beam, a different sector transmits to the same terminal using a same hopping pattern. Thereby, tradeoff between the channel quality of the terminal in a sector boundary and deterioration in system throughput can be minimized.

The BTS1 does not transmit an FLAB and data. The BTS2 receives the R-CQICH (406) and succeeds in demodulation, thereby to recognize that the BTS2 has been designated as the communication-destination base station, and it transmits (407) an FLAB after execution and completion of a hand-off process.
