Abstract: A paper web routing control system for rotary press having a printing system in which a plurality of printing machine sets are arranged so that paper web routes ranging from a plurality of paper web feeding sections to folding sections via the respective printing sections thereof can be built freely; the paper web routing control system comprises a course portion storage and control means for controlling divided course portions, a paper web route storage and control means having data for constructing continued paper web routes, a link table preparation means for preparing link tables, an input/output control means for generating, transmitting and receiving control signals, and a control section.

Abstract: An ink pump control system driven by a stepping motor comprising a pulse generating section for generating stepping motor driving pulses, an arithmetic section for obtaining a time difference .DELTA.t=T.sub.2 -T.sub.1 between the time T.sub.2 and time T.sub.1 required to cause the stepping motor to rotate in angular movements at a hypothetical revolution speed r.sub.2 required for feeding ink and a predetermined revolution speed r.sub.1 based on printing speed data and printing element ratio data, a predetermined pulse output section for outputting pulses that cause the stepping motor to rotate intermittently at high speed based on the pulses generated by the pulse generating section and the time difference obtained in the arithmetic section, and an excitation signal output section for outputting an exciting signal to cause the stepping motor to be actuated by a motor driver.

Abstract: A web cutting position control system capable of cutting a web having a print pattern thereon in such a manner as to match the print pattern without limiting the mounting position of a synchronizing mark detecting means for detecting synchronizing marks on the web is disclosed. A counter for counting the rotational pulses, for example, of a cutting cylinder for cutting the web is provided so as to compare the pulse count at the time of synchronizing mark detection with the reference value representing a value at the moment when the web and the cutting cylinder are in normal relative positions, and to control the relative positions of the web and the cutting cylinder to the normal relative positions by controlling the movement of a compensating roller until the two values become equal to each other.
