  • Patent number: 9349302
Abstract: A device, computer program and method for outputting linguistic information. The voice output device, for example, includes an output information acquisition unit acquiring linguistic information and attribute information. Attribute information includes an attribute added to each linguistic element included in the linguistic information. A tactile pattern storage unit stores a predetermined tactile pattern corresponding to each linguistic element. A tactile pattern acquisition unit acquires the tactile pattern from the tactile pattern storage unit. A voice output unit reads aloud the linguistic elements and a tactile pattern output unit outputs, in parallel with reading aloud each linguistic element, the tactile pattern corresponding to the attribute added to the linguistic element, thereby allowing a user to sense the tactile pattern by the sense of touch.

  • Publication number: 20150182158
Abstract: [Problem] To provide an apparatus for measuring a sensory threshold at the time of application of a moving stimulus to a sole simply with high reproducibility and evaluating peripheral neuropathy originating in diabetes. [Solution] Provided are a foot pedestal 2, a probe 4 for applying a moving stimulus to a sole, and a probe driving structure 3, disposed on a base 1, for operating the probe 4 to separately move in directions intersecting at right angles along the sole. Also provided are an input switch 5 to be operated by a subject recognizing a moving stimulus, a drive controller 51 for controlling drive condition of the probe driving structure 3, and a main controller B for evaluating a measured sensory threshold. The main controller B preliminarily stores reference data of known sensory thresholds obtained by applying a moving stimulus to a sole of patients, and age correction factors calculated from standard values of sensory thresholds based on different ages of patients.

  • Publication number: 20140183430
Abstract: A jack for disaster relief includes a hydrogen gas supply structure for heating a hydrogen absorbing alloy by means of a heat source and supplying a hydrogen gas absorbed in the hydrogen absorbing alloy, and an operation structure to be extended by a pressure of the hydrogen gas supplied from the hydrogen gas supply structure, to carry out an operation for lifting an object to be jacked up. The operation structure includes an operation base and a jack portion having an operation space sealed therein. The jack portion is configured to be extensible between a standby posture in which a pushup portion is stored and an extension posture in which the pushup portion is protruded upward from the operation base, and the whole operation structure can be held in a flat shape in a state in which the jack portion is retracted into the standby posture.
