  • Patent number: 4412113
Abstract: In a push-on switch comprising a moving contact 6 of partial-hemisphere-face-shaped resilient metal diaphragm which is disposed with its periphery on a pair of peripheral fixed contacts 2b,2b in a contacting manner and at its central part apart above a central fixed contact 2a in an isolated manner at normal state, the improvement is made such that the metal diaphragm moving contact 6 has an opening 6a having at least a protrusion 6b with respect to the opening 6a;so that the opening 6a allows air to pass at inversing and restoring motions of the central principal part of the moving contact 6, thereby preventing drafting of dust onto the central fixed contact 2a, and that the protrusion 6b slides on and cleans the surface of the central fixed contact 2a at each pushing down of the central part of the moving contact 6.

  • Patent number: 4344063
Abstract: A variable resistor whose operating shaft may be click set or stopped to a preselected angular position when a projection of a click spring, which is mounted together with a wiper arm on a wiper arm mounting member, drops into a click slot of a click disk fitted into a cover or a casing generally in the form of a cup. The click disk is rotatably fitted into the cover or the casing in such a way that a torque required for rotating the click disk relative to the cover or the casing is higher than a first torque required for releasing the projection of the click spring out of the click slot of the click disk when the operating shaft is in a first position, but is lower than a torque required for releasing the projection of the click spring out of the click slot of the click disk when the operating shaft is axially shifted from said first position to a second position.

  • Patent number: 4253004
Abstract: A mechanical control system comprising a master or a controller which is rotated in control operations, a slave or a controlled unit such as a rotary electric control component such as a variable resistor, and a mechanical power transmission means for interconnecting between the master and slave for transmitting the turning force of the master to the slave. The mechanical power transmission means comprises a core and a plurality of helical spring layers tightly wound one upon another alternately in the opposite directions so that the angular mismatching or misalignment between the master and slave may be avoided. Since the master and slave may be spaced apart from each other, the layouts of electric components may be remarkably facilitated even in a very limited space.

  • Patent number: 4095059
Abstract: An interlocked push-lock push-button switch assembly of the type in which when one of the switch buttons each formed integral with an operating-bridging member is depressed, it is locked in pushed-down position so that the movable contacts are made into contact with the mating stationary contacts, but when another switch button is depressed, the switch which has been locked in position is released. An inverted U-shaped movable contact member with the movable contacts attached to the ends thereof is retained in position by a movable-contact-member retaining member formed integral with the operating-bridging member.

  • Patent number: 4035668
Abstract: The invention discloses an electronic input-interruption timer for use with an electrical appliance such as a washing machine, a fan, a refrigerator and so on. The timer comprises an integrator consisting of an input resistor and a capacitor, a switching element, a MOS field-effect transistor, a discharge resistor, and a switching circuit operable in response to the magnitude of the drain current of the field-effect transistor; the field-transistor, the switching element, the capacitor and the discharge resistor being embedded or potted in a molded plastic insulation. Since the capacitor and the discharge resistor are completely air- and water-tightly sealed, the highly reliable and dependable operation may be ensured even when used with a water-handling appliance such as a washing machine.

  • Patent number: 3997864
Abstract: A variable resistor is disclosed which may readily attain or reproduce a preset value. A wiper arm or plate is carried by an outer shaft for rotation with a wiper in sliding contact with a resistor so that the resistance value may be continuously varied in a conventional manner. In order to detect the angular position of the outer shaft where a preset value is obtained, a click mechanism is incorporated. A click spring of the click mechanism is fixed to a switching plate carried by an inner shaft fitted into the outer shaft for rotation therewith or independently thereof in case of presetting, and a ball loosely carried at the free end of the click spring is adapted to engage with a recess formed at a predetermined position of a stationary click plate so that the inner shaft may be stopped at a predetermined angular position.

  • Patent number: 3988596
Abstract: A voltage memory device is disclosed wherein the gate of a MOS field-effect transistor is connected to one terminal of a capacitor and to an input voltage terminal through an input resistor and through the contacts of a reed relay while the source is connected to an output terminal and an output resistor, the input resistor being inserted in order to determine the charging time of the capacitor. When the reed relay is actuated, the capacitor is charged or discharged depending upon whether the input voltage terminal is connected to a positive or negative voltage supply source so that the output voltage increases or decreases. When the reed relay is de-energized, the output voltage remains at the same level. The voltage memory device has a function similar to that of the conventional variable resistors, but it eliminates the use of any sliding part and is operable at a relatively low voltage in a reliable and dependable manner. The voltage memory may be used in an automatic control system.
