    Abstract: In an electric storage device, a terminal plate includes an element-connecting part electrically connected to a first electrode at a first end of an electric storage element, and an external terminal connected to this element-connecting part. A sealing member is on the element-connecting part, and includes a hole where the external terminal is inserted. The sealing member and the external terminal seal an opening of an outer jacket. The external terminal includes a tapered part on its outer periphery at a tip, and is partially exposed from the sealing member. The tapered part includes a first end and a second end farther away from the element-connecting part than the first end. An edge of a side wall at the opening of the outer jacket is between the first and second ends of the tapered part in a first direction extending from the bottom to the opening of the outer jacket.
