  • Publication number: 20200084714
Abstract: Various solutions for channel state information (CSI) reference resource acquisition in discontinuous reception (DRX) with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may receive a DRX configuration. The apparatus may receive a CSI-measurement time configuration. The apparatus may turn on a transceiver to receiver a CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) according to the CSI-measurement time configuration. The apparatus may perform a CSI reporting or beam management according to the CSI-RS. The CSI-RS may be located in an off duration of the DRX configuration.

  • Patent number: 10512039
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses pertaining to device-driven power scaling in advanced wireless modem architectures are described. A processor of a communication apparatus with time-varying peak processing capability during active operations negotiates with a wireless network, to which the communication apparatus is communicatively connected, to select one of a plurality of temporary capability states ranging between zero and peak performance of the communication apparatus. The processor initiates a capability state change such that the communication apparatus enters the selected temporary capability state from a current temporary capability state of the plurality of temporary capability states. The lifetime of the selected temporary capability state exceeds a control information period used by the wireless network to dynamically schedule data transmissions with the communication apparatus.

  • Patent number: 9166475
Abstract: Techniques are provided that can extend the efficiency of a switching regulator further into the low current region by making use of the available knowledge on predictable load variations and voltage ripple tolerance across different states, providing improved efficiency and reducing total current consumption. The load current requirement in low power states is provided using switch mode rather than linear regulation, the switch mode operation being controlled by a mode dependent control circuit so as to minimize the energy cost of the switching operation in each mode and thus obtain improved efficiency from the power source.

  • Patent number: 5208767
Abstract: A tape rule or other displacement measuring apparatus comprises a reader means and a member that are relatively movable. The member carries a position track defined by a sequence of alternative markings made in succession along the member. The alternative markings record different values in a pseudo-random sequence which is the result of repetitive operations on a seed consisting of a small number of elements. The sequence has the property that a group of successive markings of length at least equal to that of the seed occurs at a single position in the sequence so that a succession of markings read from the track and of length at least equal to the seed defines an absolute position of the reading means and the member.
