Patent number: 10462209Abstract: A device may receive an indication to establish a communication session between a first device and a second device for a file transfer. The device may receive, from the second device, metadata. The metadata may be used to identify files of a set of files. The device may identify the files for transfer from the second device to the first device based on the metadata. The device may cause multiple communication sessions to be established between the first device and the second device. The multiple connections may be used to transfer the files from the second device to the first device. The device may receive, from the second device, the files. The files may be received via the multiple communication sessions.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 2018Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc.Inventors: Sankar Shanmugam, Sivagnanalingam Sivaganesh, Moorthy Sengottaiyan, Manmeet Kaur, Muhammad Salman Ali, Petri Virkkula

Patent number: 10445220Abstract: A device may obtain data regarding application activity from a group of user devices. The application activity may relate to an application associated with network operator services provided by a network operator. The device may process the data regarding the application activity to generate a visualization of the application. The visualization of the application activity may include multiple tiers. The multiple tiers may correspond to at least a group of users, a user, and a session. The visualization may identify one or more errors associated with the application activity. The device may provide the visualization of the application activity for display. The visualization may be provided for display via a client device associated with the network operator. The device may automatically implement, without human intervention, a correction to the one or more errors.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2017Date of Patent: October 15, 2019Assignee: Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc.Inventors: Sankar Shanmugam, Sridhar Sundaraju, Suja John, Sivagnanalingam Sivaganesh

Patent number: 10306705Abstract: Examples are disclosed that facilitate connecting in a secure and efficient manner a mobile device to networked-enabled devices located in a premises. The security of the networked-enabled, connected devices in the premises may be maintained by use of a gateway device situated behind a home router. Through the home router, the gateway device maintains a persistent connection with a network component of a service provider. When an authorized application executing on a mobile device attempts to connect with the gateway device to communicate with the respective customer connected devices, the device control application is connected to a pre-established communication port to allow direct communication between the device control application and the respective customer connected device. A service provider's network component in some examples maintains the pre-established connection for the duration of the session in which the customer connected device is to be controlled via a mobile device, or longer.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2014Date of Patent: May 28, 2019Assignee: Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc.Inventors: Sankar Shanmugam, Arindam Mitra, Maheswaran Krishnan, Moorthy Sengottaiyan, Sivagnanalingam Sivaganesh

Patent number: 9503894Abstract: The method, system and device examples provide for a mobile device biometric authentication that authenticates an application user via a biometric input, and thereby reduce the need to enter complex user credentials into a mobile device to gain access to a mobile application. The examples leverage the biometric recognition operations managed by the operating system of the mobile device to allow a mobile application to authenticate the user as a valid user of the mobile application. In an example, a successfully unlocking of a mobile device via a biometric input from a user is used by the mobile application to perform an authentication operation with assistance from an authentication server to authenticate the user of the mobile device as a valid user of the mobile application. As a result, the mobile application grants access to the mobile application based on the user's biometric input.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2014Date of Patent: November 22, 2016Assignee: Cellco PartnershipInventors: Sankar Shanmugam, Moorthy Sengottaiyan, Sivagnanalingam Sivaganesh
