  • Publication number: 20150007635
Abstract: A method for accurately diagnosing an internal fault of an oil-immersed transformer by analyzing content ratios of dissolved gases generated when the internal fault occurs in the oil-immersed transformer is provided. The method diagnoses the internal fault by analyzing the dissolved gases contained in the insulating oil of the oil-immersed transformer for internal fault diagnosis, wherein the method comprises: a first step of extracting H2, CH4, C2H4, and C2H2 from the dissolved gases; a second step of calculating a content ratio (%) of each dissolved gas from the total content of the four dissolved gases selected from the extracted five dissolved gases; and a third step of determining the internal fault of the oil-immersed transformer for diagnosis corresponding to an internal fault region according to content ratio (%) values of the calculated four dissolved gases and predetermined content ratios (%) of the four dissolved gases.

  • Patent number: 7595772
Abstract: An after-image prevention apparatus and method for a plasma display panel having a plurality of address electrodes and a plurality of scan and sustain electrodes arranged in pairs and in a zigzag pattern. An average signal level until the current frame from currently input picture data and an average signal level of each cell until the previous frame as stored in a memory section is calculated. The average signal level is compared with the picture data. An attenuation coefficient is generated corresponding to the difference between the average signal level and the picture data. The picture data is multiplied by the attenuation coefficient to output correction data, thereby preventing an after-image phenomenon on the plasma display panel.

  • Patent number: 7583242
Abstract: Disclosed is a plasma display panel, and an apparatus and method for driving the same. In the method of the present invention, an image signal is received and gamma-corrected according to a gamma correction curve. The gamma-corrected image signal is generated as subfield data according to a compressed subfield generation table. The average signal level of the image signal is calculated and correction according to an average signal level correction inverse curve is performed regarding the generation of the subfields for each gray level, and a sustain electrode driving signal and a scan electrode driving signal corresponding to the average signal level are output.

  • Patent number: 7486260
Abstract: A driving apparatus of a plasma display panel (PDP) and a method for displaying pictures on the plasma display panel, which are capable of increasing the ability to express a low gray scale. Common non-emitted sub-fields are detected, using picture signal data having the maximum level of the gray scale, of all input picture signal data within one frame of the input picture signal data. Sub-fields having higher weights are divided into a plurality of sub-fields having lower weights and the plurality of sub-fields having lower weights are rearranged as sub-fields for expression of gray scale, corresponding to the number of non-emitted sub-fields. In addition, the number of sustains corresponding to the rearranged sub-fields are generated.
