  • Publication number: 20240082810
Abstract: The present invention discloses an adsorbent composition for removing halogen-containing contaminants such as hydrogen chloride from gas streams and a process for its formation. The adsorbent composition comprises an active metal component and a carrier or binder. The active metal component is selected from the group consisting of sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium and barium and the carrier/binder is selected from a group of clay materials like sepiolite, montmorillonite, kaolin or attapulgite.

  • Patent number: 9381501
Abstract: The invention relates to improvements in the design of Fischer-Tropsch catalysts comprising a support and cobalt on the support. A first aspect is the modification of the silica support with at least 11 wt % titania to prevent the formation of cobalt silicates, thereby limiting the deactivation resulting from the silicate formation. A second aspect is the provision of C03O4 particles highly dispersed on the catalyst support with an average particle diameter of the cobalt oxide particle of less than 12 nm in order to improve catalytic activity and selectivity.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 7, 2012
Date of Patent: July 5, 2016
    Assignee: Velocys Technologies Limited
Inventors: Frank Daly, Laura Richard, Sreekala Rugmini
  • Patent number: 9359271
Abstract: The disclosed invention relates to a process for conducting a Fischer-Tropsch reaction, comprising flowing a reactant mixture comprising fresh synthesis gas and tail gas in a microchannel reactor in contact with a catalyst to form at least one hydrocarbon product, the catalyst being derived from a catalyst precursor comprising cobalt and a surface modified catalyst support.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 7, 2015
Date of Patent: June 7, 2016
    Assignee: Velocys, Inc.
