  • Publication number: 20230046864
Abstract: A system and method for displaying information from at least a first computing device and a second computing device on an interactive display. In some embodiments: (1) the first computing device is connected to a public data network; (2) the second computing device is connected to a private data network; and (3) the interactive display is connected to both the public data network and the private data network. The system mirrors a first display for the first computing device (using information received via the public data network) and mirrors a second display for the second computing device (using information received via the private data network) on the interactive display. This may two users to simultaneously mirror content from two remote computing devices on different networks onto the same interactive display, without exposing the private data network (e.g., and any computing components connected thereto) to the first computing device.

  • Publication number: 20170031947
Abstract: A system and method is adapted for allowing a user to display data on a display and to share one or more images of the displayed data with one or more users. The system includes a display and a single computer that generates a tool bar that is displayed on the display. The tool bar allows a user to annotate, capture an image, open a web browser, receive a notification when third party computers are coupled to the computer, and connect the computer to a cloud based service. The system receives a request to open a data file, opens the data file, and displays at least a portion of the data file on the display. The system also receives a request to duplicate (i.e., take a screenshot) of the display to store in memory, transmit to one or more remote computing devices, create a presentation, etc.

  • Publication number: 20170019473
Abstract: A system and method for displaying information from multiple remote computing devices on an interactive display by receiving a first set of information from a first remote computing device that is connected to a first local area network via a first network communication device such as via Ethernet. A second set of information is received from a second remote computing device that is connected to a second local area network via a second network communication device such as Wi-Fi. The system mirrors a first display for the first remote computing device and mirrors a second display for the second remote computing device on an interactive display. This allows two users to simultaneously mirror content from two remote computing devices onto the same interactive display. In an alternate embodiment, the second network communication device may be configured to operate as a wireless access point.

  • Publication number: 20160378272
Abstract: A multi-focus application collaborative system is configured to allow: (1) two or more applications to be displayed on a multi-sensory input display; and one or more users to interact and provide input to the two or more applications at the same time without having to switch focus between the two or more applications. That is, each application retains focus simultaneously so that input from the one or more users is received by the two or more applications without the one or more users having to shift focus from one application to the other in order for each application to receive input from the multi-sensory input display.

  • Publication number: 20150121231
Abstract: A system and method that allows a user to interactively display a presentation to one or more viewers. The presentation system allows the presentation to be displayed on an interactive display while one or more mobile computing devices assigned to each viewer connects to the presentation system so that the viewer can view the presentation and also receive one or more slides from the presentation in real-time while the slide presentation is being presented. The received slides may be electronically editable versions of the slides being displayed or electronically editable versions of slides that contain subject matter related to the subject matter of the slides being displayed. The viewers can edit the electronically editable versions of the slides and send the edited versions back to the user during the presentation. The user may then optionally display one or more of the edited slides as part of the presentation.

  • Publication number: 20150121180
Abstract: A computer system for managing presentation modification is configured to enable one or more users to request association of an author-created presentation with an account associated with the one or more users. In various embodiments, the system is configured to enable the author to make one or more modifications to the presentation. At least partially in response to modification by the presentation by the author, the system is configured to enable the one or more users to incorporate the one or more medications to the presentation associated with their account. In particular embodiments, the system is configured to store, in memory, each version of the presentation with various modifications and enable the one or more users to select any version of the presentation for presentation to at least one presentation viewer.

  • Patent number: 6487538
Abstract: A method and apparatus for local advertising. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) or proxies owned by an ISP insert advertisements transmitted from a web host to a client. The advertisement may be stored in the proxy's cache or may be retrieved from a web server for an advertiser. By providing the ISP with the ability to insert the advertisement, advertisements appear on small web sites that do not normally attract advertisers. Additionally, due to the number of advertisements placed by an ISP, small advertisers may have their advertisement appear in connection with frequently used web sites. One or more embodiments of the invention provide for an ISP to collect and store demographic information such as the user's age, residence, credit history, etc. Additionally, stored information may include web sites the user has accessed, time spent on each web site, and any searches performed by the user.
