  • Patent number: 11846231
Abstract: A system and method for preventing icing in the combustion inlet air path of a gas turbine system. An air intake system of the gas turbine system supplies intake air to a gas turbine engine. The air intake system includes an air filter inlet house to filter the intake air. The air filter inlet house includes at least one filter stage having an array of pulse filters, with each of the pulse filters being hydrophobic. A combustion inlet air path is in fluid communication with the air intake system and the gas turbine engine. The combustion inlet air path receives the filtered air from the air filter inlet house and supplies the filtered air as combustion inlet air to an inlet of the gas turbine engine. A surface of at least one component in the combustion inlet air path includes an anti-icing coating to prevent ice from forming thereon.

  • Publication number: 20230311592
Abstract: A method of performing a configuration procedure for first and second tire pressure monitoring devices. The method includes loading the first tire pressure monitoring device with first configuration data, and subsequently transmitting, from the first tire pressure monitoring device, a first configuration data signal which encodes the first configuration data. The method includes subsequently loading the second tire pressure monitoring device with second configuration data, and subsequently ending the configuration procedure without transmitting a second configuration data signal which encodes the second configuration data.

  • Publication number: 20230311593
Abstract: A method of configuring a network of tire monitoring devices using an untrusted device is provided. An untrusted device transmits first configuration data to a first tire monitoring device, and then receives a first input verifying that the first configuration data has been loaded to the first tire monitoring device and matches expected first configuration data. The untrusted device transmits second configuration data to a second tire monitoring device, and receives a second input verifying that the second configuration data has been loaded to the second tire monitoring device and matches expected second configuration data. The untrusted device transmits a command initializing generation of a cryptographic parameter by the first tire monitoring device, and causes the cryptographic parameter to be exchanged with the second tire monitoring device such that secure future communication is established between the first and second tire monitoring devices.

  • Publication number: 20220185038
Abstract: A tyre monitoring device, tyre monitoring system and method including a wireless interface having range determining capability and a processor. The processor: receives a command via the wireless interface from a second device of the tyre monitoring system; determines a range to the second device; and executes the command if the range to the second device is less than a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 9246281
Abstract: An authorized electrical plug has a plug surface with first and second plug edges and left and right side plug edges. The plug surface has left and right prongs projecting outwardly from the plug surface. A recess has a depth formed in the plug surface. An authorized electrical receptacle has a receptacle surface with first and second receptacle edges, left and right side receptacle edges, and left and right slots extending inwardly. A projection has a height formed in the receptacle surface. Left and right slots receive the left and right prongs respectively with the recess receiving the projection when an authorized electrical receptacle receives an authorized electrical plug.

  • Patent number: 7565974
Abstract: A bottled beverage holding luggage (1) having a core (14), a vertical wall (13) located within the core and a plurality of horizontal walls (12) located within the core (14). The horizontal walls (12) intersect with the vertical wall (13) to form a plurality of openings (10) for the acceptance of bottles (9), which may be bottled beverages. Shock-absorbent sleeves (11) having at least one aperture (15) may be inserted into the openings (10). Thus, the bottles (9) are placed within the sleeves (11) and the sleeves (11) are ultimately placed within the openings (10) in the core (14) to protect the bottles (9) from breakage during transit. Alternatively, the core (14) may include removable horizontal and vertical shelves (17 and 22) which form the openings (10) or include a plurality of foldable dividers (27) which form the openings (10) for acceptance of the bottles (9).
