Abstract: A method is provided for operating an operator control element provided for a display device of a motor vehicle, wherein the display device is configured to display a list with at least one end, and wherein the operator control element is configured to output a control signal to the display device, which control signal is used to scroll through the displayed list, depending on a predetermined actuation of said actuator control element. The method determines whether the at least one end of the list has been reached by way of the predetermined actuation of the operator control element.

Abstract: A control device for activating an active haptics operator control element for a motor vehicle is configured to determine whether the operator control element is being operated with a short press or a long press. The control device is configured so as, if it has been determined that the operator control element has been operated with a short press, to determine whether the operator control element has an assigned long-press function that is performable after the operator control element has been operated with a long press, and to activate the operator control element to output an active haptic feedback if it has been determined that the operator control element has an assigned long-press function.

Abstract: A control device actuates an active haptic operating element for a motor vehicle. The control device is designed to determine whether there is an activation of the operating element; to determine whether the operating element is assigned an available function if an activation of the operating element has been determined; and to actuate the operating element to emit an active haptic positive feedback when an activation of the operating element has been determined, and it has been determined that the operating element is assigned an executable function. The control device is designed to actuate the operating element to emit an active haptic negative feedback when an activation of the operating element has been determined, and it has been determined that no executable function is assigned to the operating element. Abstract: A device for generating a signal which can be haptically perceived by a user of a vehicle includes a control device, a technical device and a storage device. The control device communicates with an external apparatus to receive a triggering signal. The technical device for the vehicle has an actuator for generating the signal which can be haptically perceived. The storage device stores a plurality of different patterns for controlling the actuator depending on user-specific data and/or data relating to an environment of the technical device. The control device uses a selected pattern of the stored patterns depending on the user-specific data and/or the data relating to an environment of the technical device, and controls the at least one actuator according to the selected pattern upon receiving the triggering signal from the external apparatus. The data relating to the environment is acquired using an acquisition device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provided for providing an active haptic feedback signal for an operating element upon actuation of the operating element. Whether the operating element is actuated is determined. Whether a function is assigned to the operating element, if actuation of the operating element has been determined, is determined. The active haptic feedback signal is output to the operating element only in those cases in which actuation of the operating element has been determined and that a function is assigned to the operating element has been determined.
