Abstract: An isostatic mounting system is described to support a sensor and to minimise the thermal conductivity between the sensor and a carrier thereof. An isostatic mounting system comprises at least one support foot configured to be fixed, in use, to a structure of the carrier, and at least one leg extending from the support foot. The support foot is made of a full solid material and the leg has a lattice structure made of the same material of the support foot.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for the probabilistic assessment of fatigue of component parts in the presence of manufacturing defects comprises the following steps: importing predefined input data concerning at least one part of a component to be assessed; distinguishing a surface region of the part from an internal region; determining the volume and stress/deformation applied to the surface region and to the internal region; assigning the distribution of defects to a group of elements defined by the user; determining the maximum dimension of the defect in each surface or internal region considered; determining the critical dimension of the defect in each surface region or internal region by considering the fatigue strength of the material at the number of cycles under consideration, the stress/deformation applied and the position of each surface or internal region; calculating the reliability of at least one of the surface or internal regions considered.

Abstract: An arm made of composite material, and relative production method, consisting of a plurality of articulated segments with a longitudinal main axis (x), pivoted to each other, each of the articulated segments comprising a box-like structure and at least a joint element attached thereto by means of gluing, the box-like structure having an end cooperating with an end of the joint element on the inside of the surface of the joint element. The ends define a substantially conical reciprocally overlapping area and have profiles concordantly inclined by an angle (?) with respect to the longitudinal axis (x).

Abstract: A poster display device for holding and displaying posters and advertising materials, particular in outdoor environments. A plurality of frame sections are positioned around the periphery of a backing member. The frame sections have rotating cover members which are biased by resilient members to be held in open and closed positions. A transparent protective sheet member is used to cover and protect the poster and advertising materials, and a sealing member is utilized to seal around the edges of the protective sheet member and prevent moisture and other environmental elements from coming into contact with the advertising materials and posters. The sealing members are positioned in slots, recesses, or channels in the frame sections and the force of the resilient members on the cover members holds the protective sheet materials tightly in place against the sealing members.
