  • Patent number: 8866674
Abstract: At a current position, a measurement packet is determined by a mobile terminal device at a measurement time. The measurement packet includes transmitter identifications of radio transmitters receivable at the current position of the mobile terminal device at the measurement time. By means of reference measurement packets provided to the mobile terminal device, the mobile terminal device itself can determine its current position. Additionally, a deviation of the determined transmitter identifications of the measurement packet from reference transmitter identifications of the reference measurement packets is determined.

  • Publication number: 20140143007
Abstract: An example computing device may generate a plurality of snowfall categories for a region and a plurality of snowfall category combinations at the region for a time frame that includes a plurality of time segments. The device may calculate a forecast of unit sales of a weather-dependent product over the time frame for each snowfall category combination based on past weather data for the region and past sales data of the weather-dependent product. The device may calculate a probability that each snowfall category combination will occur in the time frame. The device may determine a quantity of the weather-dependent product to place in inventory prior to or at the beginning of the time frame configured to approximate demand for the product over the entire time frame based on forecasted unit sales and the probabilities that each snowfall category combination will occur in the time frame.

  • Publication number: 20120283934
Abstract: A method for monitoring a fuel pressure in a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine. A setpoint fuel pressure is initially set in the fuel injection system. Next, a first fuel injection and a subsequent second fuel injection are executed at a time interval shorter than a decay time of a pressure wave in the fuel injection system, triggerable by the first fuel injection. In an additional step, a monitored fuel injection quantity, which is injected via the second fuel injection, is ascertained. An action is executed if the monitored fuel injection quantity differs from a setpoint fuel injection quantity, which is predefinable for the setpoint fuel pressure, by more than a limiting value. The invention also relates to a computer program product for executing the method and to a device for monitoring a fuel pressure in a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine.
