  • Patent number: 11151104
Abstract: A method that enables time as data is described herein. The method includes constructing a tree structure, wherein data of the tree structure is a plurality of time intervals, and layers of the tree below a root node comprise identical sibling nodes for layers above a threshold interval length and parent nodes share identical sibling nodes. The method also includes assigning a node identification to each node of the tree structure, wherein each node of the tree structure corresponds to a time interval, and traversing the tree structure to convert a timestamp to a human readable time.

  • Publication number: 20210272069
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for translating time between calendar systems is described herein. The method includes accessing a first tree structure for a first calendar system, where data corresponding to the first tree structure include time intervals for the first calendar system that are arranged into layers of nodes, and where the layers of nodes are mapped to universal time. The method also includes scheduling a calendar content item corresponding to a time fragment relative to the universal time. The method further includes translating the calendar content item to a first human-readable time fragment for the first calendar system by traversing the first tree structure corresponding to the first calendar system to convert the time fragment to the first human-readable time fragment based on the mapping of the layers of nodes of the first tree structure to the universal time.

  • Publication number: 20210221007
Abstract: A gripper provides for gripping labware having a variety of diameters and shapes. The gripper includes a support structure having a center axis, a motor, and a gripper stage. The gripper stage includes a plurality of blades, each of the blades having a) a first end through which a blade rotation axis extends, the blade rotation axis being fixed relative to the support structure and offset from the center axis, b) a second end that is circumferentially and radially moveable to rotate the blade about the blade rotation axis, and c) a center portion. The gripper stage also includes a ring structure coupled to the motor to rotate the ring structure around the center axis. The ring structure, as it rotates, moves the second end of each blade to rotate the blade about the blade rotation axis of the blade to shift the center portion towards the center axis to contact an outer portion of a vessel extending along the center axis.

  • Patent number: 10770088
Abstract: A decoder generates decoded signals based on quantized signals. The decoder includes an inverse quantizer and a predictor circuit. The quantized signals are generated in an encoder by low-pass filtering an input signal and encoding the filtered signal using adaptive differential pulse code modulation. • Patent number: 10699725
Abstract: An encoder includes a low-pass filter to filter input audio signals. The low-pass filter has fixed filter coefficients. The encoder generates quantized signals based on a difference signal. The encoder includes an adaptive quantizer and a decoder to generate feedback signals. The decoder has an inverse quantizer and a predictor. The predictor has fixed control parameters which are based on a frequency response of the low-pass filter. The predictor may include a finite impulse response filter having fixed filter coefficients. The decoder may include an adaptive noise shaping filter coupled between the low-pass filter and the encoder. The adaptive noise shaping filter flattens signals within a frequency spectrum corresponding to a frequency spectrum of the low-pass filter.

  • Patent number: 10168057
Abstract: A method and system for controlling moisture content of a gaseous flow. A pair of desiccant contact structures each provided with a process adapted to pass through a process gaseous stream to altering the moisture content of the gaseous stream. Each desiccant contact structure also has a regeneration side adapted to pass through a regeneration gaseous stream for altering the moisture content of a desiccant in the contact structure. The process side of a first desiccant contact structure is fluidly connected to the regeneration side of a second desiccant contact structure via a first closed recirculation loop. In an alternative embodiment a second closed recirculation loop may also be provided on the regeneration side of the first desiccant contact structure.
