  • Patent number: 10661366
Abstract: A hand-held band saw has a handle for grasping the band saw, a motor, a drive wheel driven by the motor, a driven wheel and a continuous blade disposed about the drive wheel and the driven wheel. A portion of the continuous blade is positioned in a cut zone to perform a cutting operation. A workpiece guard is spaced from the portion of the continuous blade and positioned between the portion of the continuous blade and the handle for limiting movement of the workpiece after the cutting operation.

  • Publication number: 20200154811
Abstract: A hard hat with symmetric front and back mounting ridges to support a headlamp is described. The hard hat provides mounting ridges to receive insertion slots of a rigid mounting bracket that fit around the ridges. The rigid mounting bracket includes channels to loop a strap through the channels and support a lamp on the bracket. The strap may include a hook and loop fastener system to enable attachment of a variety of lamps to the rigid support bracket. In this way, the hard hat can support a wide variety of headlamps attached to the rigid mounting bracket without destructive alterations to the hard hat. Clips may be added to the rigid mounting bracket to secure or lock the bracket in place during operation and prevent accidental knocks or jarring of the headlamp.

  • Patent number: 10576611
Abstract: A tool accessory includes a first portion defining a drive end and a second portion defining a working end. At least one flat or planar side surface is defined on the first portion, and a tipping point is disposed between the first portion and the second portion. The tool accessory has a center of mass that is defined closer to the drive end than to the working end such that, when the tool accessory is rested on a surface, the center of mass causes the tool accessory to rest on the planar side surface and the tipping point to prevent rolling.

  • Publication number: 20200016667
Abstract: A hole saw including a plurality of sidewall openings is provided. The sidewall openings are shaped and grouped in patterns that improve debris ejection of the hole saw and that allow for easy access to the interior of the hole saw for manual debris removal by the user. The opening groups are space from each other by larger uninterrupted areas such that the hole saw has a high strength despite the number and size of openings provided in the saw sidewall.

  • Publication number: 20190372290
Abstract: A crimping tool, for attaching at least one wire to a connector, includes a housing, a first handle coupled to the housing, and a second handle coupled to the housing and movable relative to the first handle. The crimping tool also includes a working head coupled to the housing opposite the first and second handles. The working head includes an upper wall, an end wall, and a gap defined between the upper wall and the end wall. The crimping tool also includes a punch assembly slidable along the working head toward the end wall in response to movement of the second handle toward the first handle. The punch assembly is visible through the gap as the punch assembly slides toward the end wall.

  • Publication number: 20190344426
Abstract: A wrench case for a set of combination wrenches, where each wrench includes an open end, a closed end, and an elongate handle extending therebetween. The wrench case includes a handle, a post receiving the open end of each wrench, and a body including a front side and a back side. The front side supports the elongate handle of each wrench. The wrench case further includes a plurality of tabs spaced apart along the front side of the body. Between adjacent tabs is a gap that receives each wrench. The wrench case further includes a door pivotally coupled to the body between a closed position, in which the door is coupled adjacent the front side of the body to maintain each wrench against the body, and an open position, in which the door is coupled adjacent the back side of the body.
