  • Patent number: 10165792
Abstract: The hunger minimized fasting system relies on providing a blood glucose level at all times in the range of 5 to 10 mM, satisfying glucose needs of the brain and metabolizing blood glucose through anaerobic glycolysis to release ATP at the extramitocontrial portion of the cell. Consuming only solid free nutrient liquids eliminates brain hunger response. Liquids consumed during fasting include solid filtered vegetable soup and clear fruit juices of 8 to 12 ounces taken every 2 to 4 hours having calorie deficiency of 600 to 1400 as compared to minimal daily calorie requirements for an adult. Fat released from storage is metabolized by ATP produced by glycolysis at the extramitocontrial location and enters the interior of the mitochondria, enabling the TCA cycle. Weight loss observed during fasting is about one half to one pound per day.

  • Publication number: 20170093755
Abstract: Information describing changes to a collection of items maintained by a database may be stored in a log file. The information in the log file may be converted into a stream of records describing the changes. The records may be directed to a computing node selected for performing a trigger function in response to the change, based on applying a hash function to a portion of the record, identifying a hash space associated with a value output by the hash function, and mapping from the hash space to the selected computing node.

  • Patent number: 8995119
Abstract: Provided herein is a low cost high performance light weight hard drive cover that is injection molded. The hard drive top cover has a flange portion that applies pressure to an elastomeric seal preventing ingress of moisture dust and other contaminants into the sensitive components. The flange portion is reinforced with a plurality of metallic strips that are placed between pressure application locations embedded within the polymer flange. The viscoelastic creep response of the polymer flange does not contribute to relaxation of pressure on the elastomeric seal due to the presence of the metallic reinforcement strips. The metallic reinforcement strips may have a convex curvature between pressure application locations. The metallic reinforcement strip may have apertures for passage of injection molded polymer creating delamination free intimate bond between the polymer in the flange and the metallic reinforcement strip.
