The electronic device also includes a motor driving unit for moving the second housing, a memory for storing executable instructions, and at least one processor accessing the memory to execute the instructions. The processor outputs a control signal to the motor driving unit upon receiving a first signal, compares a measurement value related to the movement of the motor driving unit with a preset reference value, determines whether calibration of the motor driving unit is necessary based on the comparison, and provides a user notification if calibration is needed.

Abstract: An electronic device may include a first housing, a second housing, a flexible display including a first area and a second area, wherein the first area is exposed for view to the outside of the electronic device in a first state, and when the first state is switched to a second state according to movement of the second housing with respect to the first housing, at least a portion of the second area may be exposed for view to the outside of the electronic device together with the first area, and a processor. The processor may be configured to, in the first state, supply power related to driving of the flexible display to a first portion of the second area, the first portion being adjacent to the first area and not exposed for view to the outside through a front surface of the electronic device.

The processor(s) may: configure the display area of the flexible display as an activation area for displaying visual information; recognize that a consistency problem occurs in an application execution screen when switching from the slide-out state to the slide-in state on the basis of occurrence of a slide-in trigger for contraction of the activation area while displaying the application execution screen on the activation area in the slide-out state; and provide a user interface to allow extension of the activation area on the basis of the occurrence of the consistency problem.

In one embodiment, an electronic device checks whether an incoming call received through a communication network is connected. If the incoming call is not connected, the electronic device detects whether the incoming call is terminated. If the incoming call is terminated, the electronic device recognizes this as a missed call and maintains a call notification in the same form as used when the incoming call is received.
