    Abstract: The present invention relates to a biometric authentication apparatus and a biometric authentication method. In the present invention, provided is the authentication apparatus and authentication method of, while placing an object for biometric authentication on a space between a first electrode and a second electrode, applying a square wave with a single period to the first electrode and performing biometric authentication using a measurement voltage width, which is a difference between a maximum value (a maximum measurement voltage value) and a minimum value (a minimum measurement voltage value) of voltage measured at the first electrode, and an arriving time required for the voltage measured at the first electrode to reach a particular range of the maximum measurement voltage value from the minimum measurement voltage value. The biometric authentication apparatus and method according to the present invention possibly provide a human body detect function for personal authentication with high reliability.

It is then determined that a second UL resource can accommodate a PHR MAC CE plus its subheader, and the PHR MAC CE is transmitted by using the second UL resource to an eNodeB (eNB).

The presence of the activation bit in the configuration message represents permission for the UE to transmit the IDC indication message. The FDM assistant information includes information on an unusable frequency in which interference from a long-term evolution (LTE) module in the UE to other coexisting technology modules in the UE or interference from other coexisting technology modules in the UE to the LTE module in the UE is expected.

When determining a reference time for estimating packet throughput, a receiver determines the time that a data burst starts or ends in order to estimate the packet throughput considering a change in the data burst of the transmitter buffer. A measurement period is defined through the determined start time and end time of the data burst, and packet throughput is measured considering the total amount of the received data burst. The throughput of packet data may be estimated by each base station based on the same standard rule, so that the measured packet throughput values may be reliable, thus allowing the operator to make use of it as a parameter for MDT.
