Abstract: A pouring spout for a paint can has an arcuate base joined to a lip. The base has an arcuate rib with a pocket accommodating a portion of the circular bead of the paint can and an arcuate flange spaced from the rib providing a passage into the pocket. Bosses joined to the flange and rib are compressed against the bead to bias the rib into tight sealing relation with the bead.

Abstract: A rolling mill machine is for longitudinal bending of plate to selectively provide one of at least two cross-sectional profiles. The machine includes a plurality of shaping stations extending transversely of the plate with at least one drive station for advancing the plate through the plurality of shaping stations. Each of the shaping stations has a first forming element on one side of the plate and a second forming element on the other side of the plate. The first forming element has at least a first set of non-driven forming rolls and a second set of non-driven forming rolls. The second forming element has a plurality of non-driven forming rolls. The first forming element is selectively moveable to position at least one of the first and the second sets thereof for bending of the plate. The rolls of at least one of the first set and the second set are disposed for forming the plate on one side and the rolls of the second forming element are disposed for forming on the other side.

Abstract: A spout located on a nozzle of a cartridge containing semi solid material has a movable gate for selectively opening and closing the passage through the spout. The spout has a slot slidably accommodating the gate. An annular bead on the spout surrounds the opening and projects into the slot. The gate has a convex curved portion that engages the bead when the gate is in the closed position to seal the material in the nozzle.

Abstract: A paddle particularly adapted for use in stirring fluid such as paint and for scraping and measuring. The paddle includes a linear, elongate handle and a blade fixed to the handle having a leading side edge offset from the handle. A leading end edge is perpendicularly orientated relative to the leading side edge. A relatively narrow, resilient wiper lip extends along the leading side edge and leading end edge and is adapted for surface engagement of a surface to move fluid away therefrom as, for example, for engagement with the interior surfaces of a paint can. The blade and handle can have graduations to measure the depth of paint remaining in a paint can.

Abstract: A paint applicator cleaning tool for cleaning painting equipment, such as a paint roller, paint pads, and paint pans. The tool comprises a flat base having a first side with a first arcuate notch having an uninterrupted edge and curved to substantially conform to the outer periphery of a portion of a standard paint roller. A second side of the base has a second arcuate notch having a plurality of teeth operable to fluff the nap of the paint roller. The base has a third side which includes an elongate linear edge for cleaning paint pads and pans and the like.
