  • Publication number: 20220015239
Abstract: An electronic device including: a multilayer printed circuit board; and a molded retaining body; wherein the printed circuit board is formed of structured layers of conducting and non-conducting materials adhered together, the conducting materials form conductor tracks and contact areas, the printed circuit board being stiffened in a rigid region by stiffening material, the rigid region having electronic components and encapsulated in an epoxy; the printed circuit board having a flexible region that is more flexible than the rigid region, the flexible region having contact areas; the retaining body having an arc-shape formed on a radial inner side of the retaining body for arrangement on an inner tube of an endoscope; the retaining body having, on a radial outer side, a receiving contour for receiving and shaping the printed circuit board; and the retaining body having a retainer for holding the printed circuit board in a bent state.

  • Publication number: 20210369099
Abstract: A method for operating a heating system of an endoscope. The endoscope including a heating element and a temperature sensor in a distal region of the endoscope and a supply unit outside of the endoscope, the supply unit being connected to the heating element and the temperature sensor, wherein the supply unit activates and deactivates a power supply for the heating element on a basis of a temperature measurement value ascertained by means of the temperature sensor using two-state control, and a monitoring unit including a monitoring circuit which is powered by the power supply for the heating element. The method including: monitoring, with the monitoring circuit, the temperature sensor for a malfunction; and interrupting the power supply to the heating element if the malfunction of the temperature sensor is determined.

  • Publication number: 20210378104
Abstract: An autoclavable electronics unit for an endoscope, the autoclavable electronics unit including: a multi-layer printed circuit board having a rigid region and a flexible region, the rigid region being reinforced by stiffener material to have a greater rigidity than the flexible region and the flexible region is configured to be bendable. Where the multi-layer printed circuit board is formed from structured layers made of conductive and non-conductive materials adhered together, in which the conductive structures form conductor tracks and contact surfaces; the rigid region is provided with one or more electronic components; and the rigid region is covered by an epoxy resin.

  • Publication number: 20210368160
Abstract: A device for determining a parasitic resistance of an electronic circuit for a video endoscope, the device including: a potential determining device; a printed circuit board; and a potential-determining conductor which is connected to the potential-determining device, the potential-determining conductor being situated on the printed circuit board. Wherein the potential-determining conductor is arranged along a path on the printed circuit board next to a reference potential conductor, and the potential-determining device is configured to determine a parasitic resistance between the potential-determining conductor and the reference potential conductor.
