  • Publication number: 20240116723
Abstract: The problem of potentially damaging a pallet layer that is gripped by clamps of a depalletizing tool is solved i) by detecting the real position of the layer using a pad on the tool that is movable with the clamps towards the pallet layer and whose detected stopping position determines the real position of the layer, and ii) while the layer is gripped by the clamp, by inserting under the layer curtains; the pressure on the layer by the clamps being adapted to the ease to go underneath the layer.

  • Patent number: 8189747
Abstract: A method is provided that allows data access service provider subscribers to manage their telephone service through a data connection. The subscriber is enabled to obtain call data information and is provided real time control. During a data call, a visual incoming call indicator informs the subscriber, through a popup window, connected to the data access service provider that there is a call attempt. A visual message waiting indicator allows a subscriber, connected to the data access service provider to be notified of a pending message on the voice message system. A visual call disposition allows the subscriber, through the data connection, to dispose of calls. The call disposition options include forwarding a call to voice mail, playing an announcement to the calling party, forwarding the call to another line, sending a text message which could be converted to speech using text to speech technology, answering the call using voice over data call or terminating the data connection in order to accept the call.

  • Patent number: 6681006
Abstract: The present invention addresses the current limitations of the automatic callback and automatic recall (AC/AR) features. Upon activation of AC/AR and subsequent timeout, the calling party receives ring back. Upon going off-hook, an announcement is played informing the calling party that the monitoring time has expired and that the call could not be completed during that time. The calling party is then offered service options including extending the monitoring time and message delivery.

  • Patent number: 6304649
Abstract: A service is disclosed which allows subscribers who have multiple telephone lines extending from the same end office and who subscribe to such a service, to now be alerted on all of their multiple lines of an incoming call to any one of their lines. Regardless of which line in a predefined group of lines the incoming call is originally destined for, the subscriber will be alerted of the incoming call on each one of their lines. Numerous enhancements to the service are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6185565
Abstract: A method and a system for managing communications sessions, in accordance to events that occur in either one of a telecommunications network, such as the PSTN network or a mobile telephone network, and a data communications network such as the Internet is provided. The system includes a service logic controller supporting a data structure that holds a plurality of communication session disposition program entries. The service logic controller connects with the telecommunications network and with the data communications network through respective gateways that transmit communication session disposition inquiry messages. In response to those messages, the service logic controller retrieves the appropriate communication session disposition program and generates from that program an instruction to the entity that originated the inquiry message. The communication session is then processed according to the instruction.

  • Patent number: 5812652
Abstract: The invention manifests a secure, on-demand meet-me conferencing service embodied within a telephone network having an advanced intelligent network (AIN) infrastructure. Centralized control of conferencing bridges located in network switches is effected at a service control point (SCP) in the AIN telephone network. Routing and availability information with respect to the conferencing bridges is maintained by the SCP. When the SCP in communication with a network switch processing a call determines that the call is to initiate a conference, a bridge is allocated to the call. The availability information of the bridge is then updated and the SCP provides the network switch with routing instructions for connecting the call through the telephone network to the bridge.

  • Patent number: 5812653
Abstract: The invention manifests a secure, on-demand meet-me conferencing service embodied within a telephone network having an advanced intelligent network (AIN) infrastructure. Centralized control of conferencing bridges located in network switches is effected at a service control point (SCP) in the AIN telephone network. Users of the service first subscribe to it, and are assigned a primary authorization code, a code assignment directory number (DN) and a conference DN at that time. Before a conference, a subscriber calls the code assignment DN, provides the primary authorization code, and receives a secondary authorization code for distribution to persons who will be participants of the conference call. At the time of the conference, the subscriber dials the conference DN and provides the primary authorization code to the conferencing service to initiate the conference call. The participants then dial the conference DN and use the secondary authorization code to access the conference.
