  • Patent number: 4547993
Abstract: A window regulator employing a flexible control cable as a transmission means, comprising a bracket secured to a window glass, an operating means and an inner cable connecting the bracket and the operating means through conduits, and both end portions of the inner cable being respectively wound up and off in the operating means to slidably move the bracket along a guide rail in order to perform an opening or closing action of the window glass, whereby a light, small and simple regulator is provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 29, 1983
Date of Patent: October 22, 1985
    Assignee: Nippon Cable System, Inc.
    Inventors: Tetuo Kobayashi, Syoichi Hirai
  • Patent number: 4440354
Abstract: A wire-driving device for a window regulator comprising a first pulley secured to a shaft supported rotatably to a casing, a second pulley secured to the shaft so as to be rotatable and axially movable along the shaft, and a wire of which both end portions are wound round said first pulley and second pulley respectively in the opposite direction to each other, the wire being capable to transmit power when the shaft is rotated, and ratchet teeth being provided on each of facing side surfaces of the pulleys, whereby elongation of the wire is automatically absorbed when the shaft is rotated to wind and unwind the wire round the pulleys.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 9, 1981
Date of Patent: April 3, 1984
    Assignee: Nippon Cable System Inc.
    Inventors: Tetuo Kobayashi, Syoichi Hirai
  • Patent number: 4428542
Abstract: A compact and thin wire-driving device for a window regulator which absorbs elongation of wire automatically, wherein both ends of a driving wire are wound round two pulleys arranged parallel, i.e. a first pulley and a second pulley, in the same direction; a first gear is secured coaxially to the first pulley; a second gear is adjacent coaxially to the second pulley through ratchet teeth; the first gear and second gear are meshed to each other; and, when the wire is wound up round the first pulley, a slack of the wire is wound up round the first pulley and the second pulley remains stopped.

  • Patent number: 4400993
Abstract: A mechanism for absorbing elongation of a wire in a power transmission device comprising two coaxial pulleys, i.e., ratchet pulley and winding pulley, winding both end portions of the wire respectively in the opposite direction; a ratchet roller connecting with the ratchet pulley by means of ratchet and engaging to the winding pulley, whereby the elongation of the wire can be absorbed by winding only one end portion of the elongated wire around either the ratchet pulley or the winding pulley.
