  • Patent number: 9968318
Abstract: An estimating apparatus according to an embodiment includes specifying circuitry, deriving circuitry, and display control circuitry. The specifying circuitry specifies a region of a subject irradiated with X-rays emitted from an X-ray tube of an X-ray CT apparatus on a human body model schematically representing the subject. The deriving circuitry assumes the human body model to be at a position where the subject is arranged in radiography performed by the X-ray CT apparatus and derives an exposure dose of the X-rays on a surface of the region specified by the specifying circuitry on the human body model based on irradiation conditions in the radiography. The display control circuitry displays, on a display, information in which the exposure dose derived by the deriving circuitry is associated with the region on the human body model specified by the specifying circuitry.

  • Patent number: 9326746
Abstract: An X-ray CT apparatus includes a specifying unit, a setting unit, a controller, and a reconstruction unit. The specifying unit refers to exposure dose information to specify a high exposure area in an imaging area in a subject. The setting unit sets a scan condition under which a cross section of the imaging area can be imaged and under which X-rays are not directly applied to the high exposure area or another scan condition under which a cross section of the imaging area can be imaged and under which an X-ray radiation dose directly applied to the high exposure area is reduced relative to an area other than the high exposure area. The controller collects data of X-rays applied from an X-ray tube and detected by an X-ray detector under the set scan condition. • Patent number: 9230323
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry generates a plurality of contrast images sequentially based on X-rays after administration of a contrast medium to the object, determines a monitoring region in the plurality of contrast images, monitors change in signal strength of each of pixels included in the monitoring region, and determines whether or not the signal strength of each of the pixels included in the monitoring region satisfies a specified condition. The processing circuitry controls an X-ray generator based on a result of the determination so as to reduce an X-ray dose or turn off irradiation. The processing circuitry generates a parametric image based on a feature amount determined by change in signal strength of each of pixels of a part of the plurality of contrast images sequentially generated before the X-ray generator is controlled based on the result of the determination.

  • Patent number: 7881774
Abstract: A transmitting/receiving circuit drives an ultrasonic probe in accordance with a trigger signal based on an electrocardiographic waveform under the control of a control device so as to scan a plurality of regions, and obtains scan data for each region. During the scanning, the circuit causes the probe to scan the respective regions so that scan data in which time phases of the electrocardiographic waveform substantially coincide are obtained in the vicinities of the boundary between at least two adjacent regions among the regions. That is, in adjacent regions, the circuit causes the probe to scan the respective regions in the main or sub-scanning directions set to be reverse to each other. Further, an image processor generates ultrasonic image data of the range in which the regions are joined, on the basis of the scan data obtained by starting scanning at the same time phase.

  • Patent number: 7852334
Abstract: A transmitter/receiver obtains scanning data by transmitting ultrasonic waves to a subject to be examined and receiving reflected waves from the subject to be examined. An image processor converts the scanning data into image data represented by a predetermined coordinate system and applies a predetermined smoothing process to the image data. The image processor calculates the vector of each point, based on the image data after the smoothing process. The image processor generates three-dimensional image data by applying a ray-tracing process to the image data to which the smoothing process has not been applied, according to the vector.

  • Patent number: 7822242
Abstract: An image processing apparatus is provided for reducing noise from an original image consisting of digital image data. The apparatus has an information calculator, smoothed image producer, weighting-factor calculator, and weighting adder. The information calculator calculates information in relation to a pixel-value change representing a degree that becomes larger with a spatial change in a pixel value averaged each predetermined area on the original image. The smoothed image producer produces a smoothed image by smoothing the original image. The weighting-factor calculator calculates a weighting factor depending on the calculated information in relation to the pixel-value change. The weighting adder mutually performing, using the weighting factor, weighting addition with either the original image or an image modulated from the original image and the produced smoothed image.
