  • Patent number: 5168270
Abstract: An input analog image signal is sampled by first and second A/D converters, using first and second sampling clocks of the same period, to obtain digital gradation data. In the case of a double definition display mode, the first and second sampling clocks are made 180.degree. out of phase with each other and the output of the first A/D converter is delayed for one-half period, by which its timing is brought into agreement with that of the output of the second A/D converter, thus obtaining a pair of digital gradation data. In the case of a standard definition display mode, the first and second sampling clocks of the same phase are used to obtain the outputs of the first and second A/D converters as a pair of digital gradation data. The pair of digital gradation data Da and Db is converted by a signal processing part into a pair of analog gradation data Aa and Ab, which is subjected to a serial-to-parallel conversion by a source driver to be supplied in parallel to data lines.

  • Patent number: 4775944
Abstract: A control system for air conditioning and/or hot water supplying apparatus using a central heat source supplies cooling or heating to a plurality of dwelling units of a congregated or multi-storied house. The system calculates the optimum operating condition of the air conditioning and/or hot water supplying apparatus in each of the dwelling units using the operating state information of the central heat source, the weather information forecasted on the basis of the outdoor weather information, the indoor atmosphere information, and the operating state of the air conditioning and/or hot water supplying apparatus in the dwelling units, and the optimum condition is displayed on an output terminal device in each of the dwelling units.

  • Patent number: 4745358
Abstract: The direction of change of an analog signal which is digitally displayed on a digital display can be immediately determined at a glance by providing a change-display in the vicinity of the digital display, which digitally displays the analog signal value. The change-display displays whether the analog input signal is increasing or decreasing by comparing the present value of the input signal with a previous value thereof. This comparison may be effected by integrating the input signal and comparing the integrated input signal with the input signal or by differentiating the input signal or by using a sample and hold circuit to hold a previous input signal value which is then compared with the present input signal value.

  • Patent number: 4404932
Abstract: A preheating system for a diesel engine using an electric heater for heating suction air introduced into a combustion chamber of the diesel engine. A normally-open first relay is disposed in a circuit connecting the heater with a battery. A coil of the first relay is connected with an accessory terminal of an engine key switch through a pushbutton switch. A timer and a normally-open second relay are disposed in another circuit connecting the coil of the first relay with accessory terminal of the engine key switch. Once the pushbutton switch is pressed, the second relay is closed, connecting the coil of the first relay with the accessory terminal through the timer, thereby electrically connecting the heater with the battery. The heater continues to be heated until the timer deenergizes the first relay.

  • Patent number: 4386245
Abstract: A normally-closed switch in which a movable contact member is normally held in contact with a fixed contact member by spring-load of a plate spring member. When an operating member is pressingly operated, the plate spring member is resiliently displaced into a position where the plate spring member comes in contact with a stopper member. The movable contact member is thus separated from the fixed contact member. When the operating member is pressed further, the plate spring member is not displaced, but a resilient member is compressingly deformed, thereby compensating for the over-stroke of the operating member.

  • Patent number: 3953800
Abstract: A radio or television receiver is selectively tunable to one of a number of carrier frequencies transmitted from distant broadcast stations and has a tuning indicator for displaying the frequency of a selected station. The indicator includes a station frequency encoder, having a plurality of sets of indicia representative of a plurality of frequencies of the broadcast stations, arranged to move, as the receiver is tuned, between a light source and the proximal end of a fiber optic bundle. The distal end of the fiber optic bundle is arranged on a display panel to illuminate segments of seven-bar numerical configuration in the form of a squared figure eight. When the receiver is tuned to a station, the indicia, corresponding to the frequency of the station, are aligned with the proximal ends of the fiber optic bundle.
