  • Publication number: 20040022885
Abstract: An ejector pin of an injection mold includes a sleeve, a valve structure, and a biasing member. The sleeve has a passage hole and an enlarged hollow portion, which communicate with each other via a stepped portion engaged therebetween. The valve structure has a valve portion and a collar portion, which are disposed in the sleeve. The collar portion of the valve structure is biased by the biasing member such as a spring and stopped by the stepped portion. Gaps interposed between the valve structure and the sleeve serve as a gas passageway through which gas in a molding cavity is exhausted by a vacuum pump.

  • Patent number: 5695657
Abstract: A magneto-resistance effect type thin-film magnetic head for detecting reproduced signals by the magneto-resistance effect, which is suitable for detecting reproduced signals by magneto-resistance effects, is disclosed. The thin-film magnetic head includes a two-layered magneto-resistance effect element made up of a first magneto-resistance effect film and a second magneto-resistance effect film of substantially the same width as the first magneto-resistance effect film, layered with a non-magnetic insulating film in-between. Since the magneto-static coupling is produced between the first and second MR films, the magnetic state between the first and second MR films is stabilized. The film thickness contributing to the playback output can be reduced as in the case of a single-layer magnetic head constituted by a single-layer MR film for realizing a high playback output.

  • Patent number: 5687157
Abstract: An audio signal recording and reproduction apparatus enabling a low frequency band signal component to be reproduced by existing reproduction apparatuses and a high frequency band component to be processed as well. A digital audio signal is divided into a low frequency band signal component and high frequency band signal component by a frequency band division filter. The low band signal component is subjected to straight PCM processing to maintain compatibility with existing reproduction methods. The high frequency band signal component is subjected to high frequency coding through a requantization circuit and entropy coding circuit. A comparison circuit compares the straight PCM signals and the high efficiency coded signals to determine if they will fit into a predetermined bit length and, when not fitting, causes the requantization circuit to perform requantization to shorten the bit length.

  • Patent number: 5589349
Abstract: A method of enzymatic analysis utilizing a color-development signal amplification system associated with enzymatic cycling of NAD-NADH interconversion in the presence of dehydrogenase and its substrate, wherein the dehydrogenase is selected from the group consisting of alcohol dehydrogenase derived from Zymomonas and amino acid dehydrogenase derived from thermophilic microorganisms is disclosed. The use of alcohol dehydrogenase derived from Zymomonas provides an extremely higher detection sensitivity than that in the conventional method. The use of amino acid dehydrogenase derived from thermophilic microorganisms improves reliability of the method for a longer period of time than that in the conventional method.

  • Patent number: 5529906
Abstract: A system or kit for analysis of phosphatase comprising a reagent I containing NADP or NADPH as a main component, and a reagent II containing components for color-development signal amplification utilizing NAD-NADH interconversion, wherein at least one of the hydrogen donors participating in the NAD-NADH interconversion is included in reagent I, but not in reagent II, which eliminates the necessity that the reagent II is further separated into two parts. This enables the preparation of reagent II as a mixture which can be readily used and which can be preserved for a long period of time without "reagent blank" occurring. Additionally, the present kit eliminates the necessity of mixing reagents I and II immediately before actual use and thus permits periodical analysis of samples with a reagent having the same components for long time periods with reliable and uniform sensitivity.
