    Abstract: Injecting apparatus comprises means to hold the apparatus against a living body, and a medical liquid in a reservoir of the apparatus is pumped by a pump means which is driven by movement of some portion of the living body, so as to be injected into the living body. The medical liquid may be injected little by little, in which case each cycle of the pump means is effected by a plurality of movements of the living body. The reservoir is made of resilient material, for example, silicone rubber. A modified reservoir comprises an inner bag and an outer bag, with an intermediate space therebetween, which may be filled with a physiological solution of sodium chloride.

    Abstract: A catheter apparatus with occlusion and flow diverting valve means for controlling the flow of fluid into a tube including a conduit to lead fluid into cylindrical tube, a bag-like member made of resilient material and arranged to close an opening of the top of the conduit, a valve means provided on the conduit and a connecting means to connect the bag-like member and the valve means. Settling this apparatus in the cylindrical tube, when fluid is forced to flow into the bag-like member through the conduit, the bag-like member expands, whereby the cylindrical tube is closed and the valve means is opened to flow fluid out of the conduit.

    Abstract: Granular porous silicone rubbers suitable to form articles to be embedded in human bodies or to be used to make up lost portions thereof are prepared by forming a composition containing a siloxnediole composition expressed by a formula ##EQU1## where R respectively represents a methyl radical, a phenyl radical or a vinyl radical and n is an integer of from 500 to 5,000, at least 0.5 % by weight based on the weight of the compound of formula (1) of a siloxanediol hydride compound expressed by a formula ##EQU2## where R' respectively represents a hydrogen radical or a methyl radical but at least one of R' radicals is a hydrogen radical, and n is an integer of from 2 to 1,000, a vulcanization catalyst and an emulsifying agent. The composition is then dispersed in water and the resulting emulsion is vulcanized while it is stirred thereby forming the granules of porous silicones.

    Abstract: A drain for the eardrum is formed of a high polymer with the properties of absorbency and swelling. An apparatus for inserting the drain for the eardrum includes a needle with a sharp tip, a tube sheathing the needle and a trigger to project the sharp end of the needle from the end of the tube. When the trigger is drawn, the sharp tip of the needle is extended from the end of the tube and is then inserted into the drain, and used to bore a hole through the eardrum and to insert the drain into the hole.

    Abstract: In a two part type composition for preparing room temperature vulcanizing type silicone, one part or a main agent comprises a putty like mixture of a siloxanediol expressed by a general formula ##EQU1## WHEREIN R respectively represents a methyl radical, a phenyl radical or a vinyl radical, and n is an intger of from 500 to 50,000 or ##EQU2## WHEREIN R' respectively represents a hydrogen radical or a methyl radical and n is an integer of from 2 to 1,000, and a fine powder of a filler, and the other part or an assistant agent comprises a putty like mixture of a polyol, Ca (OH).sub.2 and a fine powder of a filler. The main and assistant agents are combined in intimate contact with each other in the form of a cencentric assembly or a laminated assembly. Any suitable quantity of the assembly is severed and kneaded by hands to form a silicone rubber.
