  • Patent number: 9044556
Abstract: An injector includes a support tube having one end surface to be brought into contact with skin, a movable tube advanceable in the support tube in the direction of the skin, an injection needle communicating with the movable tube, a plunger advanceable in the movable tube in the direction of the skin to introduce medicinal liquid filled in the movable tube to the injection needle, and a sealing material provided at the tip of the support tube and penetratable by the injection needle to penetrate the sealing material. In an initial state, the tip of the injection needle is sealed by the sealing material.

  • Patent number: 5336465
Abstract: A slurry compound prepared by a sintering powdery material and a binder is press-molded to obtain a contour for the final product applicable to a bone-implant such as hip prosthesis. The molded body is given a programmed movement of rotation and/or swinging to impart a centrifugal force to the sintering particles which direct toward the inner wall of the mold cavity. The final product obtained after sintering has a hollow interior having no communication to the outside. Imparting conditions of rotating/swinging movement may be changed or programmed in order to achieve a desired structure or constitution of the final product. By way of example, larger particles concentrate near the inner wall of the mold to provide a rough, porous surface of the body, whereas it has a dense core consisting mainly of sintered fine particles. A hip prosthesis having a ceramic-rich femoral head and a metal-rich stem may also be produced by so programming the movement imparting conditions.

  • Patent number: 5174894
Abstract: A blood component separation apparatus is disclosed which comprises at least three plate-like members arranged in a stacked fashion, a blood circulation circuit composed of at least two layers which are arranged between the associated plate-like members, a filter for blood component separation which is incorporated into a blood passage, a plurality of connection ports provided in the plate-like members to allow them to communicate with the blood circulation circuit, communication tubes mounted in the blood circulation circuit to place part of the connection ports in communication with an associated connection port, the communication tube being adapted to control a fluid communication in the blood circulation circuit and an external function section connected to corresponding connection ports.

  • Patent number: 5085411
Abstract: An apparatus for processing grain-oriented electrical steel strip has a groove-scribing unit, which comprises a groove-scribing roll mounted above a pressing roll, disposed on the entry side of an insulation coating unit. A bridle roll is provided above the groove-scribing roll so that the strip may be passed to the groove-scribing and insulating coating units via the bridle roll. The apparatus also has a device for guiding the travel of the bridle roll from above the groove-scribing roll to below the horizontal pass line of the strip and vice versa. A moving device attached to the bridle roll permits the bridle roll to travel up and down along the guiding device together with the strip passed therearound. When the bridle roll is positioned above the groove-scribing roll, the groove-scribing and support rolls are kept close to each other, thereby scribing grooves in the surface of the strip held between the two rolls before the strip is passed to the insulation coating unit.

  • Patent number: 4825807
Abstract: An apparatus for applying a powder of anti-sticking agent on a coil of oriented electrical steel strip formed on a coiler comprises a movable assembly moving closer to and away from the coiler, a stationary hood attached to the movable assembly and having slit-like suction ports provided along the walls thereof, one end of the suction ports opening toward the coiler, a duct-collecting duct connected to the slit-like suction ports of the stationary hood, movable hoods provided on the stationary hood to vertically open at the top and bottom of the open end of the stationary hood, and a group of electrostatic powder spray guns directed toward the coiler in the stationary hood in which they are disposed. The movable assembly recedes and the movable hoods open as the diameter of the coil increases so that a given space is always maintained between the surface of the coiled strip and the movable hoods.
