  • Patent number: 6326708
Abstract: A slider unit having built in a moving-coil linear motor is incorporated in a linear motion guide unit having a track rail and a slide. The slider unit is made easy in mounting to the appliances or works. The linear motion guide unit has the track rail and the slider movable lengthwise of the track rail. A linear motor is arranged between any one of widthwise opposing side walls of the track rail and the slider, and composed of a stator comprising a magnet yoke and field magnets, and a moving-coil assembly held on a side edge of a mount of the slider. The linear motor is preferred to make compact or slim in construction the linear motion guide unit, in which the linear motor is incorporated, thus making the slider unit simple in construction.

  • Patent number: 5988342
Abstract: The present invention provides a braking device of a linear motor table which can stop in a fixed state of the table when the electrical feed is cut off. A braking device 11 is installed, which comprises: a shaft 12 extending in the direction of movement and attached to the table 42; a retainer 14 movably inserted onto the shaft 12; balls 15 inserted into the pocket of the retainer 14 and rolling along the shaft 12; an outer cylinder 16 located including the retainer 14 and having a tapered surface 16a on the inside of the outer cylinder; a coil spring 18 for urging retainer 14 to be jammed onto the tapered surface 16a; and a linear electromagnetic solenoid 17 which urge the retainer 14 for making the balls 15 release the tapered surface 16a. When the electrical feed is cut off, the balls 15 are jammed on the tapered surface 16a by the action of a wedge, and the table is stopped.

  • Patent number: 5427454
Abstract: The linear roller bearing comprises: a pair of ways with their raceway grooves facing each other; a cage disposed between the ways; cylindrical rollers held in the cage between the ways; a rack installed in a cutter escape groove formed in each raceway groove of the way; and a pinion in mesh with the rack and supported in the cage. The meshing between the rack and pinion of the linear roller bearing eliminates the possibility of the cage coming off the ways, thus allowing the ways to be controlled to move reliably and smoothly relative to each other.
