Publication number: 20240101021Abstract: A headlight determination apparatus includes a camera device, a target light recognition device, and a changing device. The camera device captures an image ahead of a vehicle at a predetermined frame rate. The target light recognition device recognizes target light from the image captured by the camera device. The changing device changes a wavelength of headlight of the vehicle by using a predetermined period slower than the predetermined frame rate. When the wavelength of the headlight is different from a wavelength of the target light and/or when a period of the wavelength of the headlight does not match a period of the wavelength of the target light, the target light recognition device recognizes that there is target light other than the headlight in front of the vehicle and controls light distribution of the headlight when there is target light other than the headlight in front of the vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 24, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Fumihiro YASUFUKU, Kazuki KAWAMURA, Kazuki ODAGIRI, Keisuke MAEDA, Takashi MAI, Takafumi OTA

Patent number: 7579712Abstract: A power system protection system prevents a voltage drop resulting from the reactive power characteristic of a power system. A main device for acquiring a system electric quantity of one or a plurality of upper substations detects a voltage drop resulting from the reactive power characteristic of the power system and transmits a detection signal of the voltage drop to a terminal device for acquiring a system electric quantity of one or a plurality of lower substations. Each terminal device sequentially sheds loads starting from those suffering more from the influence of the voltage drop resulting from the reactive power characteristic based on the load voltage and load current of a load bus.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2004Date of Patent: August 25, 2009Assignees: The Tokyo Electric Power Company, Kabushiki Kaisha ToshibaInventors: Ken Yanagihashi, Mamoru Suzuki, Takafumi Maeda, Akira Ishibashi, Yasuchika Nishitani

Patent number: 5796630Abstract: A protective relay system detects a first electric variable and a second electric variable of a power system to discriminate in a time series whether or not a fault portion of a line or equipment included in the power system exists within a predetermined range, so as to determine whether protection of the power system should be carried out. The system includes a digital filter for outputting a first difference electric variable data indicative of a difference between at least two sample data of plural sampling data of the first electric variable and a difference between at least two sample data of plural sample data of the second electric variable at plural sampling times of the time series. The system also includes an addition filter for outputting first and second additive electric variable data indicative of orthogonal vector data with respect to the first and second difference electric variable data.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1996Date of Patent: August 18, 1998Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha ToshibaInventors: Takafumi Maeda, Hiroshi Yamakawa, Fumio Andow, Mitsuru Yamaura, Yasuhiro Kurosawa

Patent number: 5503964Abstract: This resist removing method realizes efficient production of semiconductor devices and is configured to ensure both safe production and reliable semiconductor devices. The present invention can be applied to a resist removing method used in combination with a high dose of ions injection process of applying a high dose of impurity ions to a semiconductor wafer onto which surface a far-ultraviolet-ray hardened resist is partially applied. That is, the present invention comprises a resist hardening step of evenly hardening the resist by treating it in a far-ultraviolet-ray irradiation process and a baking process before a high dose of ions injection process. Additionally, it comprises a resist ashing step of removing the resist by forcing the resist to react under the pressure of 2 through 5 Torr to O.sub.2 plasma excited by a microwave after the high dose of ions injection process.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 1993Date of Patent: April 2, 1996Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Toyoda Jidoshokki SeisakushoInventors: Tatsushi Nishina, Takafumi Maeda, Shin Hasebe

Patent number: 5170308Abstract: A method and system of transformer protection in which parallel admittance currents indicative of the apparent excitation state of a transformer to be protected are evaluated from the transformer terminal voltages and currents sampled at a proper interval, and discrimination between an internal defect and excitation inrush is made in response to a magnitude of the parallel admittance current, and a breaker opening command is issued in response to a judgement of internal defect. The method and system enables high-accuracy and high-sensitivity fault detection through a simple computation.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 1990Date of Patent: December 8, 1992Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., The Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc.Inventors: Keizo Inagaki, Yoshihiro Sano, Yoshiaki Matsui, Takafumi Maeda
