  • Publication number: 20040127294
Abstract: A power transmission includes a first rotating member having one or more first concave portions formed on an inner circumferential surface of the first rotating member. The power transmission also includes a second rotating member having one or more second concave portions formed on an outer circumferential surface of the second rotating member. Moreover, the power transmission includes a holding member positioned within the second concave portion, and a connecting member slidably held by the holding member. Specifically, when an amount of torque transmitted to the first rotating member is less than or equal to a predetermined amount of torque a particular portion of the connecting member is in contact with a wall of the first concave portion to prevent a rotation of the first rotating member with respect to the second rotating member.

  • Patent number: 6343792
Abstract: A shaft seal having a high abrasion resistance is disclosed, by which the leakage of the gas from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side can be reduced. In the shaft seal, flexible leaves are multi-layered to form a ring shape. The shaft seal is mainly arranged around the rotation shaft of a gas turbine or the like. The relevant turbine comprises a casing, a compressor, a rotation shaft, moving blades attached to the rotation shaft, and stationary blades attached to the casing in a manner such that the stationary blades face the moving blades, wherein the shaft seals are provided between a plurality of stationary blades and the rotation shaft wherein the leaves of each shaft seal contact the rotation shaft. Under the rated operating conditions, the top ends of the leaves slightly separate from the surface of the rotation shaft due to the dynamic pressure generated by the rotation of the rotation shaft.

  • Patent number: 4829388
Abstract: A magnetic recording apparatus such as a still video recording or an electronic camera includes a circuit for detecting a video signal immediately previously recorded on a track of a video disk to detect whether or not dropout exists in the video signal. Upon the detection of dropout, the recorded track is erased and the identical video signal is re-recorded on the same track. While the track is erased and re-recorded upon, dust or other foreign matter causing the dropout will be naturally removed from a magnetic recording head or the video disk so that the re-recorded signal is dropout free.
