  • Publication number: 20240393382
Abstract: A contact detection apparatus includes an electrostatic sensor, and a determination processor detecting whether a conductor comes into contact with a plurality of detection regions. The determination processor includes a storage unit, a determination reference value setting unit, and a determination processing unit. The determination reference value setting unit determines a detection region in which a difference between a capacitance equivalent value and a setting reference value exceeds a threshold value as a contact region where the conductor is in contact, determines a detection region in which the difference is equal to or less than the threshold value as a non-contact region where the conductor is not in contact, and sets the setting reference value corresponding to the non-contact region as a determination reference value of the contact region for the contact region when determining that the contact region exists and that the non-contact region exists.

  • Publication number: 20240393192
Abstract: A contact detection device includes: an AC power supply switching between and applying first and second AC voltages to first and second electrode layers; a storage part storing an alternative quadrature component corresponding to a state in which a conductor is in contact with an electrostatic sensor; a quadrature component comparison part comparing between a first quadrature component extracted upon applying the first AC voltage to the second electrode layer and a second quadrature component extracted upon applying the second AC voltage to the second electrode layer; and a contact determination part that detects contact of a conductor based on the first quadrature component when the first quadrature component and the second quadrature component fall within a first quadrature error, and detects contact of a conductor based on the alternative quadrature component when the first quadrature component and the second quadrature component fall outside the first quadrature error.

  • Publication number: 20040135354
Abstract: There is provided an occupant protection apparatus which is comprised of a weight sensor which detects the physical quantity such as the weight relating to the physique of an occupant seated on a passenger seat; an ECU which determines the physique of the occupant according to the detected weight, and renders an air bag device for the passenger seat inoperative when determining that the occupant is a child having a physique equal to or smaller than a predetermined physique; and an air bag OFF lamp which is turned on to notify that the air bag device for the passenger seat is inoperative so as to prompt another occupant to take any occupant-protective measure other than the use of the air bag device.

  • Patent number: 6104973
Abstract: A device for starting an occupant crash protector can output, as a start signal, a logical product of an output of a collision determining mechanism and an output of a non-collision determining mechanism. The collision determining mechanism detects a collision including an impact that does not require a start-up. The non-collision determining mechanism detects only a collision that requires a start-up using a value obtained by subtracting a value varied with time from the output of an acceleration sensor and integrating the result of the subtraction.

  • Patent number: 5071158
Abstract: In a fluid pressure type active suspension in a vehicle such as an automobile in which a fluid pressure type actuator supporting a vehicle body from a wheel so as to be able to vary a vehicle height of the vehicle body relative to the wheel in accordance with a fluid pressure supplied in its fluid chamber is operated by a pressure control means which controls the fluid pressure supplied in the fluid chamber of the actuator according to certain control parameters including at least a rate of change of the vehicle height or an acceleration of the vehicle body, the control means is adapted to modify an actual value of the rate of change of the vehicle height or the acceleration of the vehicle body for use in the control of the fluid pressure to be less than the actual value thereof when the rate of change of the vehicle height or the acceleration of the vehicle body is greater than a threshold value therefor.

  • Patent number: 5043893
Abstract: In a hydraulic active suspension system, a plurality of actuators having working fluid chambers are provided corresponding to vehicle wheels. Each actuator is adapted to increase and decrease vehicle height as the results of the supply and the discharge of working fluid to and from its working fluid chamber, respectively. Supplying and discharging devices supply working fluid to and discharge from the working fluid chamber. Vehicle height sensors detect the vehicle heights at the locations corresponding to the vehicle wheels. A control device is further provided. The control device controls the supplying and discharging devices so that the pressure within the working fluid chamber in each actuator may be a value corresponding to the sum of a basic pressure determined according to the running conditions of the vehicle and a compensating pressure determined based upon the integral value of the difference between a standard vehicle height and an actual vehicle height.
