Abstract: A winding-start region that is closer to a winding-start side than a positive electrode core exposed part has positive electrode mixture unit amounts of a positive electrode inner mixture layer and a positive electrode outer mixture layer that are approximately uniform or increasing toward a winding-end side in the winding direction. A winding-start facing region has negative electrode mixture unit amounts of a negative electrode inner mixture layer and a negative electrode outer mixture layer that are approximately uniform or increasing toward the winding-end side. The positive electrode inner mixture layer and the positive electrode outer mixture layer each have a positive electrode mixture unit amount that differs at two or more locations, excluding the positive electrode core exposed part. The negative electrode inner mixture layer and the negative electrode outer mixture each have a fluctuating part where the negative electrode mixture unit amount fluctuates toward the winding-end side.

  • Publication number: 20230405630
Abstract: An electrode mixture slurry coating device includes: a transport roller that transports a band-shaped base material; and a die head provided at a position opposed to the transport roller, and that discharges and applies an electrode mixture slurry to the base material being transported. The die head includes a fluid reservoir in which the electrode mixture slurry accumulates, a discharge port for discharging the electrode mixture slurry, and a fluid path that provides communication between the fluid reservoir and the discharge port. At least a portion, being adjacent to the fluid path, of the die head is formed of a first material having a coefficient of linear expansion of 4.0 ppm/K or less, and y<2000/Aix holds, where x [ppm/K] is the coefficient of linear expansion of the first material, and y [mm] is a length of the discharge port in a longitudinal direction of the die head.

  • Publication number: 20230048875
Abstract: A coating method has: a first step for mixing an active material, a binding agent, and a solvent, and obtaining a mixed slurry; a second step for adding an additive to the mixed slurry, stirring the mixed slurry and the additive, and obtaining a coating slurry and a third step for intermittently coating the coating slurry on a collector body, and forming a coated part and a non-coated part. In the second step, the addition amount of the additive is set in accordance with a preset coating speed of the coating slurry, or the weight of the coated part, and the additive includes castor oil, cellulose nanofibers, modified silicone, an amide, polyethylene oxide, propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate, polyamine, and/or polycarboxylic acid.

  • Patent number: 11404684
Abstract: A lithium secondary battery positive electrode with: a metallic foil; and a positive electrode mixture layer formed on a surface of the metallic foil and containing a binding agent, a conductive agent, and a positive electrode active material comprising a lithium-transition metal complex oxide, wherein the positive electrode has a diameter of the liquid-removed space of at most 6.5 mm as measured by a wettability evaluation test, wherein a positive electrode is placed inside a container, and a prescribed test solution is added to a prescribed liquid-surface level, and nitrogen is sprayed thereon from a prescribed pipe at a prescribed pressure. A measurement is taken of the diameter of a region from which the solution has been removed by the spraying, and a mean value of such diameters measured between 0.5 seconds and 1.5 seconds after the initiation of the spraying is used as the diameter of the liquid-removed space.
