  • Publication number: 20220111464
Abstract: A novel spot welding method for steel sheets and an aluminum alloy sheet, includes stacked sheet materials from a pair of opposing electrodes to join the sheet materials by resistance heating. The pair of opposing electrodes are in pressure contact with both outer surfaces of the sheet sets. The sheet sets include at least a first and second steel sheet, and an aluminum alloy sheet stacked in this order. A first energization step forms a molten pool between facing surfaces of the first and second steel sheets without melting the aluminum alloy sheet. A second energization step causes a melting reaction between facing surfaces of the second steel sheet and the aluminum alloy sheet. The first and second steel sheets are joined via a first nugget. The second steel sheet and the aluminum alloy sheet are joined via a second nugget including an intermetallic compound generated by the melting reaction.

  • Patent number: 11247293
Abstract: A highly corrosion-resistant spot weldment can be produced at low cost without occurrence of prominent protrusions and the like on the surface. The spot weldment is joined by a nugget formed inside stacked sheet materials through bringing a pair of electrodes arranged opposite to each other into pressure contact with the stacked sheet materials from outside and energizing the stacked sheet materials from the electrodes. The nugget has a diameter that is ?4?t (t: thickness of sheet material) and a flattening level of 3.5 to 8, which is a ratio of diameter to thickness. Both outer surface parts of the sheet materials are free from protrusions formed due to bulging of molten metal. Even when the electrodes are made of a copper alloy, the increased amount of Cu in the outer surface parts is 0.2 mass % or less with respect to the component composition before spot welding.

  • Publication number: 20140107519
Abstract: A magnitude of a current component in x direction, y direction or z direction, or a composite current of the current components in x direction, y direction and z direction, estimated from scalp potentials outputted from sensors mounted on a head of a subject, predetermined coordinates of lattice points preset in a standard brain, and predetermined coordinates of the sensors is determined. A normalized power variance (NPV) and its mean value are determined with Fourier coefficients determined from the magnitude of the current component or the composite current. Z-score (or Y-score) of the subject from a mean value of NPV predetermined in the same manner as the mean value and a standard deviation of the NPV for a predetermined normal person group is determined and mapped with contour lines corresponding to the lattice points on a horizontal plane designated.

  • Patent number: 6741888
Abstract: A proper frequency component of EEG is selected so that its scalp potential becomes smooth in a normal subject. When the brain function is impaired, non-uniformity of neuronal activity is detected in spatial as well as temporal fluctuations in the observed scalp potential of properly filtered EEG (usually the alpha component). The statistical parameters derived from dipolarity values of such a properly selected EEG component determine the state of the brain, in which whether the subject is normal or demented is judged in the early stage of dementia by comparing the obtained parameters with their threshold values. This invention presents a reliable, inexpensive, easy-to-handle and non-invasive method for sensitive screening of dementia and monitoring progress of dementia which also allows optimizing medication and treatment for dementia.

  • Publication number: 20020107455
Abstract: The neuronal activity in the brain of demented subject becomes non-uniform over the cortical surface and this non-uniformity is sensitively detected by properly analyzing observed scalp potentials. The present invention is related to the computer algorithm and apparatus for numerically detecting the degree of such neuronal degeneration. A proper frequency component of EEG is selected so that its scalp potential becomes smooth in a normal subject.

  • Patent number: 6427326
Abstract: A connecting rod is formed by cold forging in a single pressing cycle at a good accuracy without separately preparing a large-end cap, to thereby reduce the manufacturing cost. A double-action type of forging apparatus is made up of an upper die, a lower die, and a large-end portion punch and a small-end portion punch, both being movably provided in each of the dies. The upper die is closed to the lower die while forging a preform, to thereby roughly form a connecting rod. Then, the large-end portion punch and the small-end portion punch are protruded into a forming space between both the upper and lower dies to forge the parts to be pierced, thereby filling underfilled parts with material. Then, the large-end portion punch and the small-end portion punch on the side of the upper die are pushed out of the forming space to reach the lower die. The underfills left in the parts to be pierced are blanked or punched away to form a large-end hole and a small-end hole.
