  • Publication number: 20030149362
Abstract: An ultrasonic imaging apparatus and method combines dynamically focused reception and coded transmission/reception technologies by inexpensive circuitry. A receive aperture is divided into smaller apertures. Correspondingly, a receive beam former is divided into receive sub-beam formers 36a to 36n by which a phase alignment and summing process is performed. Thereafter, coded signals are compressed in decoders 37a to 37n in a time axis direction. Output signals from the decoders are once again subjected to a phase alignment and summing process in a second beam former.

  • Patent number: 6511428
Abstract: An ultrasound therapy apparatus delivers focused ultrasound for therapeutical purposes which can be correctly targeted to a target region, and also, a positional shift from the target region under irradiation of ultrasound can be effectively avoided. An ultrasound transducer is inside an applicator with an imaging ultrasonic probe. Another ultrasound transducer monitors a position of a target and a positional shift is inside a catheter which is inserted into a urethral tube. An imaging system drives the ultrasound probe to display an ultrasound tomographic image of a region in the vicinity of a target region. The ultrasound transducer is driven in a pulse-shaped mode at the same frequency as the imaging ultrasound and also at such timing when the imaging ultrasound is reached. As a result, a point-shaped sound source image is superimposed and displayed on an ultrasound tomographic image.

  • Patent number: 6067314
Abstract: Filter coefficients of matched filters are set equivalent to those of a circuit for multiplying spread spectrum code signals of different frequencies, and a correlation value between each of the spread spectrum code signals and spread spectrum signal data. Such correlation values are averaged by their corresponding square circuits and adders. In a maximum-value selection circuit, the averaged correlation values are monitored for a plurality of samples, thus obtaining both an amount of correction of frequency deviation of carrier wave from the frequency of a pass having the largest one of the correlation values (the most matching frequency) and an amount of phase correction of the spread spectrum signal from positional information (phase information) of a sample of the pass having the largest correlation value.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to offer a component suction head for electronic component mounting machines which is capable of securely holding electronic components by suction and smoothly mounting them on printed wiring boards without dislocation. To achieve the objective, the component suction head of the present invention comprises the following. A suction nozzle unit 24 has a suction face 33 at the center of its tip, for holding electronic component 10, and a through hole 27 formed at its center which leads to the suction face 33. The back end of the through hole 27 is connected to a vacuum generator. An elastic ring 32 is fitted and fixed around the through hole 27 to the tip of the suction nozzle unit 24, slightly protruding from the suction face 33. An ejector pin 28, which can protrude from the suction face 33 for a specified length, forms an intake passage 38 from the tip to the through hole 27, and is fitted to the through hole 27 in sliding fashion.

  • Patent number: 5432404
Abstract: For the purpose of detecting a geometric distortion of an image on a screen of a CRT display device, i.e., the deviation of the positional coordinates at a high speed and with a high accuracy, the positions of window images having about 10 rows and 10 columns which are arranged in a matrix on the screen of the display device, including a screen frame, are photographed through a predetermined low-pass filter by a monochromatic CCD camera, and further, both the low-light field picture and the high-light field picture are photographed, whereby the positions of the window images can be detected with a high accuracy within 0.1 CCD pixel by the elimination of a dark current, the normalization of detection sensitivity and the interpolation calculation. Therefore, the detection of the geometric distortion can be performed at a high speed and with a high accuracy by an inexpensive monochromatic CCD camera which has the number of pixels less than the total number of pixels of the display device.

  • Patent number: 5194783
Abstract: A digital convergence correction circuit for a CRT display unit deals with the problem of an excessive calculation time of the microprocessor expended for the vertical interpolation by using at least two pieces of ROM (read only memory) devices connected together. The circuit deals with the problem of a step variation of brightness by employment of a novel slope interpolation means which implements interpolation based on a continuous waveform of the first-order differential coefficient at the lattice points of the display screen and a curve interpolation means which forms a more superior convergence system. The circuit uses a blanking means to prevent abnormal states from appearing on the display screen during the transfer period of the digital convergence correction data of a new format at the switching of the scanning format for a video signal to be displayed.
