  • Publication number: 20190075472
Abstract: A communication system of the present invention includes a user equipment (UE), and a plurality of cells that perform communication with the UE. The plurality of cells include a macro cell having a relatively-wide-range coverage, and a plurality of small cells having a relatively-narrow-range coverage. The plurality of small cells are connected to a concentrator. The concentrator selects the small cell to which the UE is to be connected, from among a plurality of small cells, based on the flow of at least either one of the received data that each small cell receives from the UE and the transmission data that each small cell transmits to an MME and an S-GW.

  • Patent number: 10200976
Abstract: A cell2 configured by only a DL CC2 being a resource for downlink is configured. The cell2 does not include a resource for uplink, that is, a UL CC to be associated with the DL CC2 by a DL/UL link. The link information indicating the above is notified a communication terminal device by a base station device using the DL CC2. A DL CC1 and a UL CC1 constitute a cell1. The downlink communication from the base station device to the communication terminal device is performed using the cell1 and the cell2, and the uplink communication from the communication terminal device to the base station device is performed using the cell1.

  • Patent number: 9872272
Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide a communication system capable of avoiding congestion in downlink communication or uplink communication and a shortage of radio resources arising therefrom. In the present invention, in a communication system including a normal user equipment (normal UE) that performs human to human communication and a machine type communication device (MTCD) that performs machine to machine communication, a base station device transmits a paging message to the normal UE and the MTCD for calling the normal UE and the MTCD. The paging message contains, for example, an equipment identity (UE-ID). A maximum number of equipment identities (UE-IDs) that can be accommodated within this paging message is set individually for the normal UE and the MTCD. Alternatively, the paging message contains a calling indicator in place of the equipment identity of the MTCD (UE-ID of MTCD).

  • Publication number: 20170238301
Abstract: A base station device is configured to set, for each communication terminal device, a radio format for signals transmitted to and received from the communication terminal device. The radio format is set for each communication terminal device in accordance with, for example, a type of use including a moving speed of the communication terminal device. The base station device may be configured to change the radio format for the communication terminal device based on the information about a change in the environment of a radio communication between the communication terminal device and the base station device and a change including the communication terminal device's location. The signals transmitted and received between the base station device and the communication terminal device include radio formats in which at least one of a length of a symbol of the signal and a length of a cyclic prefix in an OFDM scheme differs.

  • Publication number: 20160198434
Abstract: A communication system in which when judging to have received an RRC message from a communication terminal device, a base station device, for example, HeNB checks an MTCD indicator to be mapped to the received RRC message. Then, when judging that the UE that has transmitted the RRC message received is an MTCD being a device for machine type communication (MTC) from the checked MTCD indicator, the HeNB performs a concentration process on the data from the MTCD to the core network.

  • Publication number: 20130281090
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a communication system capable of preventing a base station device from being occupied by specific communication terminal devices and preventing a situation in which the base station device cannot accommodate other communication terminal devices. In the present invention, in Step ST1403, a HeNB_A notifies UEs being served thereby of the MTCD restriction information indicating the operation of restricting MTCDs. Among the UEs that have received the MTCD restriction information in Step ST1404, an MTCD operates in accordance with the MTCD restriction information. Specifically, in Step ST1406, the MTCD judges whether or not the MTCD can select, as a suitable cell, a cell judged to satisfy cell selection criteria in Step ST1402. In a case of judging that the cell can be selected, the MTCD selects the cell as a suitable cell in Step ST1407.

  • Publication number: 20130182632
Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide a communication system capable of mitigating, even if a large number of terminal device groups to be served by a base station device are located, congestion of a core network in a situation in which data is required to be communicated from the large number of communication terminal devices or to the large number of communication terminal devices at the same time. In the present invention, when judging to have received an RRC message from a communication terminal device (UE) in Step ST1601, a base station device, for example, HeNB checks an MTCD indicator to be mapped to the received RRC message in Step ST1602. Then, when judging that the UE that has transmitted the RRC message received in Step ST1601 is an MTCD being a device for machine type communication (MTC) from the checked MTCD indicator, the HeNB performs a concentration process on the data from the MTCD to the core network in Step ST1604.
