  • Patent number: 8070273
Abstract: An ink storage container having a simply configured ink exchange function is provided, whereby the amount of stored ink is increased. An air flow control unit for controlling the flow of air between the inside and outside is disposed in an ink storage unit for storing ink. The air flow control unit includes: a valve element that is formed of an interconnected porous material and allows air to be exchanged between the inside and outside of the ink storage unit according to positive and negative changes in the internal pressure of the ink storage unit; and a liquid repellent membrane that has air permeability and liquid repellency and is disposed on an ink side of the valve element.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4328267
Abstract: A member to be coated is placed in a hollow portion of an external member and a coating material is charged in a gap between the member to be coated and the external member. The member to be coated has another member fixed thereto. The member to be coated is drawn from the hollow portion of the external member to form a coated film thereon.

  • Patent number: 4190445
Abstract: An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprises a photoconductive insulating binder layer and a clearcoling layer overlying said photoconductive insulating binder layer and essentially consisting of a resin having an acid group in the molecule. The clearcoling layer may be produced by applying an aqueous coating material composed of a resin having a neutralized acid group and then drying.

  • Patent number: 3948657
Abstract: An electrophotographic photosensitive member is produced by a method in which a photoconductive layer is provided on a base, a polymeric solventless-type liquid resin adhesive is placed between said photoconductive layer and an overlying insulating layer and, by applying pressure on said insulating layer to spread said resin, said insulating layer is secured closely to the photoconductive layer through said adhesive layer. Fine grains of photoconductive material may be dispersed in said adhesive to provide a second photoconductive layer. This invention relates to a method for producing an electrophotographic photosensitive member and further to a method for obtaining a novel photosensitive member by employing said method.
